My Bloody Romania: The real Dracula's Castle {Gadling}

Sep 14th 2007 6:35PM I just got back from Romania (2 weeks in August) I was under the impression his castle was in Tirgoviste. Probably more than likely both are but the one in tirgoviste was his fathers castle Vlad Dracu and his Grand Father mircea something (can't remember) and all the other rulers of the area Vlad Tepes was ruler of (the old romania from ~1350 - ~1700's) Wallachia. According to our private guide at Bran Castle Vlad Tepes did not really spend much time in Translvania. And that information seemed to correspond to a book I read on Vlad Dracula while in Romania
