May 1st 2011 3:31PM The world needs something like that for a change. We all need to focus on some goodness and Fairy tales, and happiness. nothing wrong with taking a time out for that. Nothing at all. Even my grandbaby girl not even two years old, loved it and so did my grandson Five years old.
We told them they were real prince and princess. They Loved it and we we all left for the day and had a great day. That was a wonderful way to start mine

Oct 23rd 2010 8:25AM I found a Cashmere and wool coat beautiful for $1.00 Of COURSE I had it drycleaned how nasty not to! Gross. It was only $8.00 to have it dry cleaned they were selling the same coats for $175.00 in the store and $75.00 on eBay.
Yes! Yes! wash and clean your clothes! That is how you get scabies! Gross!

Oct 19th 2010 6:58PM My Mom had a lot of asian blood, and she passed on her BONE straight hair to me. I mean straighter than straight. I'm white and only look slightly asian, and I'm a big lady 5'8", so a lot of people mistake me for Native American, etc.
this article really resonated with me, in the 80's when all of the white girls were getting perms I was fighting my hair. Trying to get it to do something it wouldn't. One day in S.C. a Hairdresser finally threw down her tools and said, "you have ethinic hair, it's slick and just tooooooo clean and won't even hold the rollers. I walked out in shame.
that was 1989, No more, I go to the salon and they know exactly how to deal with my hair. I am thankful for it and will NEVER EVER try to go out of the mold again. I am me. I have never ever understood why black women wanted extensions or any of that. To me the curls are gorgeous. I even coveted black hair when I was a child.
I'm 49 now and have very little gray and Love my hair. LOVE THE SKIN YOU ARE IN! EVERYBODY IS BEAUTIFUL and THANK GOD WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT! It's our differences that unite us, otherwise what a boring world it would be with everyone looking the same!

Jun 17th 2010 2:13PM The bottled water, I have to admit is terrible. I recycle the bottles, but still feel terrible about it.
The Diaper Genie---Love them. My daughter has one upstairs in her house and downstairs.
Use it all day evey day. Rarely throw a diaper in the trash, YUK!
The crock pot I use all the time. On avearge 4 times a month--Throw soup, veggies and chicken in there w/instant rice and you have a meal.
The other appliances I use rarely like the slap chop. Very ashamed of buying that, and I use the George Foreman Grill once a month, and a blender once a month.
I guess the only thing I agree with is the clothes issue. I'm real bad about that with shoes, I buy two pair of high heels a year that I end up not using. got to work on that.
We all need to stop being so decadent!
