Mar 27th 2013 4:00PM I would never have believed the story about passengers removing baggage from the overhead ... until it happened to me last year. A harried, late arriving woman handed me my stowed bag and put hers in its place. In a state of shock, I just sat there holding it ... until a very fast-thinking FA grabbed it from me and stowed it afresh. Apparently, the FAs spent the entire flight buzzing about what a patient passenger-god I must be, and finally said something during deplaning. My explanation: sometimes people do something so inexplicable that the only alternative is to completely level them ... and that's not an option. The real reason ... I'm just not a quick thinker. This has saved me more than once. :)
May 28th 2012 8:17PM Oorah on that! Thanks for telling this story ... it will definitely change how I fly.
Some of us lucky AA flyers get "Someone Special" stickers we can give out to employees that do a great job. I'm not sure what they're good for, though I understand they can be traded for nice goodies.
The point isn't the goodies, though ... many times, I think I have gotten someone's attention (in a good way) simply by giving a sticker to appreciate the fine things they do. Goodies are nice ... appreciation is better.
I hope other airlines have something like this ... stickers really make everyone's day brighter.
Sep 13th 2007 11:40PM Awww, come on folks. The "skirt" was about 4" high ... take a good look at the picture and see where it begins and ends. And then suppose (for real) that the skirt won't hike up. I'm not buying it, and the proposition that this was decent clothing defies common sense. Her protestations defy common sense -- trust SWA on this ... they were there, and they saw it with their own eyes. No dress code needed ... the clothes were inappropriate. The woman should be ashamed and withdraw ... yet she yells even louder. Borish. Pure borish.
