Does Your Hairstylist Love You or Hate You? {Stylelist}
Jun 1st 2010 4:07PM I don't disagree with most of the article save one - and it's a big disagreement. Over the years, I've succumbed to what a hairdresser suggested, and in every single case it was a mistake. I ended up with a dreadful hair cut and I blame myself.
Hairdressers, who don't know a client well, should never suggest big changes. Going from long hair to a spikey, short cut, for instance. Of course, they want people to have short hair because it means they have to come back more often.
The ones that get rather indignant when I say no are the ones who never see me again nor my large tips for good service.
Being polite works on both sides, and if hairdressers would stop talking to THEIR friends on the phone while cutting my hair or trying to juggle two or three clients, it would also be appreciated.
Two sides to every coin.
Enhanced AOL Mail for Everyone! {AOL Mail Blog}
Oct 28th 2009 8:12AM I think some of your changes are okay, but please stop changing my settings when you add new features. Don't change the color of my desktop, don't change my reading preferences and stop the pop ups! Email is a tool not a page I want to redesign with puppies, ok?
The 10 Most Annoying Passengers, As Told by a Flight Attendant {Lemondrop}
Jul 26th 2009 9:49PM You can whine on your blog all you want to, and if it creates extra income for you that's great.
However, we passengers get tired of being treated like cattle by flight attendants. You act arrogant, you are rude, you don't help when asked nicely, and your whining is incessant. Blame airline budgets and cutbacks all you want, but you were like this before all that.
See Antarctica by air on a 12-hour non-stop flight {Gadling}
Sep 8th 2008 1:04PM This trip isn't news - it's been around for years. It hasn't always been as expensive as it is now and when I did it, it was well worth the $300.
A New Low: Blaming Elizabeth Edwards {Politics Daily}
Aug 26th 2008 8:22PM I, in no way, hold Elizabeth Edwards responsible for remaining silent about her husband's affair. I hold him accountable for going a head with a run for office knowing that he could be outed. Not only would public knowledge damage his family but his party. What a conceited shit.
Best and Worst Fall Fashions {Shopping Articles Blog}
Aug 15th 2008 3:39PM Who writes this drivel? The comments don't exactly connect with reality nor style. Get a better writer!
Galley Gossip: Plane Crazy {Gadling}
Jul 1st 2008 3:08PM The problem is that crazy people annoy the flight attendant and the flight attendant takes it out on all passengers for the rest of the flight. I've seen it too many times to have a lot of sympathy.
Deregulation ruined flying and that's too bad but people who sign up now to be flight attendants know that the business sucks. Passengers are treated like cattle and frequently cattle go on stampedes if you make them mad.
It's a two way street.
Hot Seat: Rate Obama's Speech {Politics Daily}
Mar 18th 2008 2:26PM I didn't like the undertones I heard in today's speech. While Obama is a great orator, he was all over the place with this speech. He didn't convince me that we are beyond talking race in this country.
His church had Louis Farrakhan on the cover of their monthly newsletter recently. It isn't as though Obama is fighting for freedom of religion, he's fighting for something else. Sorry he won't have my vote.
Hot Seat: McCain-New York Times Aftermath {Politics Daily}
Feb 22nd 2008 9:57PM All day the Times has been telling us how we missed their real story. A very lame bit of trying to get themselves out the usual Times fiasco. Pinch Sulzberger, as publisher, should be ashamed, but unfortunately, this is the Times as it really is anymore.
10 Drinks Men Should Not Order {Gadling}
Aug 9th 2007 9:54AM There's nothing wrong with a guy having a sissy drink every now and again. If a guy is so concerned about his masculinity that he can't have some fun then I suggest he stick to biker bars where he can flex, fart, and froth Budweiser only. The articles on AOL get lamer by the damned day!
