Aug 19th 2010 12:14PM The rooftop dining room at the Danieli in Venice--Number One, hands down. Okay, the Intercontinental Hong Kong is a close second. Oh and the Amanjiwa with the view of Borobudur in Java, well not a rooftop but glorious. Too many in Rome to mention--Raphael over the Piazza Navona, the one over the Forum. Then there's the three in Naples overlooking Santa Lucia...to die for...on the Bund in Shanghai...I'm staying home.

Apr 13th 2006 12:45PM Evy: I am a dyed-in-the wool born and bred New Yorker and I apologize for the vulgar comments you received. There are over 8 million of us and not everybody has the class we would like.
But we do love our city and over-react when we find it disparaged. We have good, bad and indifferent but if you love culture, fun, sports, art, theatre, food, zoos,universities, botanical gardens, parks and everything that makes life worth living give it chance. Make a visit and I hope you will find yourself understanding the passion we have.
