Jun 9th 2009 10:49PM Republicans are true to thier cause. The tell blacks that they are the party of Lincoln. President lincoln was a great man and great leader, but he set the stage for Republican thinking that we have today. He set people who were in bondage free, however because this seldom happens in history he gave no thought to what happened when they were free. Black slaves were turned out on the street with no home, no education, no skills except farming and servitude, no transportation, little voting rights, and certainly considered a burdan to white folks. Doesn't this sound like Republican policy today with all Americans who are worth less than $10 million in liquid assets? Think about it.

Jun 9th 2009 10:31PM My first name is derived from ancient Greece. It means "The watchful one" I think it's possible that my name helped in my life. I do observe many things--like the stock market, politics,and trivia. it was never a real popular name and how my parents came up with it is a mystry. I like my name and even if it starts with a "G" I completed a bachlor degree and masters degree in 4 years. I guess I like to watch and remember things.

May 31st 2009 11:03PM These right wing folks talk a good story. As far as free speach goes -- the US Supreme Court made a ruling on the right of free speach in the 1960's. The court rule in favor of free speach no matter what, with one exception. They concured that Yelling"FIRE" in a movie theater is not covered under free speech as a constitutional right. Therefore calling for murder of Doctors of death is not free speech either. The pro-Life folks should examine this legal technial point. Those asking for saving the life of a fetus and at the same time approving of a president killing women and children in Iraq is a position I could never understand

May 31st 2009 10:18PM If the RNC had not told republicans to keep Amtrak at bay, and keep the funding lower than Amtrak needed, the president could have traveled by the Presidential Private railroad car "Ferdinam Magellan". I am sure that the same amount of security would still be needed though. It's nice to know that there is a president that apprieciets the Arts. Republicans seldom encourage artistic studies, and therefore going to a Broadway show is very unusual behavior for a "real " man. But really folks--Republicans always cry foul when they are upstaged by a Democrat. Just because republicans are against sex, non Christin activities, Organizied and cheaper medical care. and most of all Republicans, can't stomach the thought that fear isn't used by Democrats to twist political results. I mean really-what is wrong with recreation. I think a lot of Americans no longer know what recreation is about nor the good it does. I hope the President and First Lady had a fun night.

May 14th 2009 9:00PM This is just food for thought. Our allies in the Iraq war most noteably Spain is pushing very hard to charge the Bush White House team with war crimes and hangings. If we are to avoid that we must procecute them ourselves and give a slap on the wrist. If we fail to do this we may see that whole team on the end of a rope, a lot like what happened to Sadam. I never liked Bush, but as an American I would like to avoid the embarressment of a former president taken from this world by outsiders.
