Royal Caribbean brings hammer down on art auctions {Gadling}
May 16th 2010 9:33PM You don't have to attend an art auction at sea. You don't have to buy anything if you do attend. You might just enjoy yourself, and possibly learn something if and when you do go to an auction. Park West guarantees the authenticity of the merchandise they offer. My wife and I have enjoyed attending several of them thru the years and have seen pieces we would have not otherwise been exposed to. In any event, there are many other things to see and so onboard todays cruise vessels.
World Car of the Year announces finalists {Autoblog}
Apr 10th 2006 1:09AM Whatever car you drive, wherever it is made, please remember this: Other than the big 3 manufacturers, Chrysler, GM and Ford, there are not as many, if any, Union employees at the other manufacturer's plants. There is a difference in the costs of the vehicles, but a part of it is keeping America's economy working, people off of welfare, and retirees pensions and medical care funded. Otherwise, the government will have to subsidize pensions and medical care for these people, as they are for those working at lower wages for the foreign makers who assemble in the USA. If we buy everything from foreign countries, what will our kids do for jobs in the future? If you can't find decent paying jobs, how can you afford to buy anything, or save for your future and your family's? Encourage manufacturers to improve their products and only buy foreign made goods as a last resort.
