Sep 5th 2007 5:30PM I laugh. Laugh! When I read the comments on America's war on terror as contrasted with pacifistic Japan's cuteness obsession. Mitsubishi makes cute sports cars. Not so cute: the Zero fighter-bomber they made in WWII. Also not-so-cute: beheadings of American POWs; the battleship Yamato; the Bushido code of the Kamikaze; and certainly not least, the forced prostitution of Chinese women and brutal occupation of China by Japan before the war. I say, let's have a cute Japan and a strong US, and not the other way around. History bears me out.
