Creative Writing Teacher Donates Kidney to Student {Lemondrop}

Sep 21st 2009 4:58PM Why does it matter, the race of the student and the teacher? You talk about how horrible racism is, but really you're just making the problem worse.

Kid Conductor Takes Subway For a Spin {ParentDish}

Bus Driver in Hot Water for Using Brake on Schoolkids {ParentDish}

Apr 10th 2009 10:57AM My mother has braked hard when pulling out of a parking lot. When she has told one of her children to put their seat belts on, or to sit down and stop goofing off, and they didn't, she would brake hard. My sister and I only had to have her do it once before we began listening. My brother took a few more times, but eventually he started wearing his seat belt. We're no worse off for it, and she never did it when it put other driver's in danger.

Polygamy in Real Life - The Family Next Door {ParentDish}

Apr 5th 2009 3:12AM But it isn't legal. I don't agree with Polygamy. Just like I don't agree with homosexuality. But I'm not going to force my views on someone else. However, I am upset that our country is allowing something that is ILLEGAL to continue, in plain sight. We don't allow the people of California to go around committing murders just because we don't have the resources to put every murderer in jail. We don't allow residents of New York to be rampant theives because our prisons cannot accomadate them all. (Note, I am not being discriminatory towards any one state, I am simply making a point).

Facebook Responds to Complaints About New Homepage {Switched}

Mar 27th 2009 6:06PM Fortunately, facebook is not that big of a waste of time. Because of facebook, this army brat can stay in contact with friends from all over the world, and without running up a huge phone bill. I'm pretty sure that, if it weren't for facebook, I'd never talk to my a lot of people ever again. So don't judge all facebook users just because you don't have enough self control to keep from wasting your day away on the internet.

Wal-Mart Text-Message Hoax Warns of Gang Initiation {Switched}

Mar 23rd 2009 11:31PM The website Snopes was created by Barbara and David Mikkelson. Even they admit that not everything on their site is accurate. So don't use it as a reference site, it's likely to get you in a lot of trouble if you do.

Why Do Women All Seem to Want Taller Men? {Personal Articles}

Mar 18th 2009 9:35PM What about the men that chose shorter women? I'm 4'9", my boyfriend is 6'2 1/2" I love the fact that I feel safe when I know he's standing next to me, and only he knows why he loves my shortness. But I know that one of the things he loves about me is how small I am. Where is the scientific explenation for this?

United crew - it's time to serve drinks to the idiots in coach {Gadling}

Feb 25th 2009 8:44PM This is for pinkthenred. Have you ever tried to wait tables? Have you ever spent 6-8 hours on your feet, dealing with rude, obnixious people who are pleased by absolutely nothing? People who can find no good in their meal, and send it back because the butter is touching the baked potato. Seriously, walk a mile in a servers shoes before condeming them.

Burger King's Whopper Virgins campaign -- some video's out now, you can judge for yourself {WalletPop}

Dec 2nd 2008 1:22PM I am not offended by the use of the word "virgin", the fact that BK is taking sucky burgers to people in remote villages, or even the fact that the majority of the comments on here are mindless and insulting to the human race. What does offend me is the fact that some paranoid, pompous jerk thinks that it's ok to stereotype all teens. I'm sorry, but I don't exactly fit your description of a teen who doesn't give a rats behind. I am an honors student who works hard to earn what little money I can make, while keeping up my grades, applying to colleges, and taking care of my two younger siblings. Don't label me. You don't know me.

Give Gifts at the Office ... Without Looking Like a Brown-Noser {Lemondrop}

Dec 1st 2008 7:08PM Considerate Person,
Christmas was first celebrated as a pagen holiday, but has since been accepted by the Christians as the holiday celebrating Jesus Christ's birth. Lots of people, however, celebrates Christmas, whether they are Christian or not. So, saying Merry Christmas to people is not incorrect. As is stated, we don't know who celebrates Christmas and who doesn't. In fact, one might be considered rude, or inconsiderate if they were to not wish people a Merry Christmas. They might even be called a Scrooge!
