Mar 26th 2008 7:20PM Oh how ignorant to believe that all people who pray to Allah are terrorists. Can any story being told about Muslims not automatically revert back to those selective few who do horrific things? I am AMerican I live in New yOrk, i know first hand the horrors of that day, but I also know people are people and we all hurt, and we all think we are on the right side... let's try to practice tolerance, not all people are the same.
May 31st 2007 11:58AM honestly if i was so rich i would get better hair
Apr 28th 2007 7:58PM And to African Action...
Hellooooooo M. Viera is not an Italian American she is Portguese, #1 and #2 Italian Americans do not beat up on minorties, we are accomplished, and successful, It hurts to see that the once new immigrants of this country have more than american born citizens due to hard work and sacrifice. Just a little clue for you... Laguardia, Guiliani and Pataki, all great Italians... Verazano bridge named after an Italian. Gucci, Ferragamo, D&G, Versace, all great Italians, shall I go on you IDIOT!!!!
Apr 28th 2007 7:49PM Don Imus' remarks were completely irresponsible, however in this country we have a thing called freedom of speech, and freedom of the press. Every nationality, religion and ethnic group is stereotyped in this country. I am an Italian American and all I hear is the negative stereotypes surrounding my ethnic group. Italians are depicted as mobsters all the time, when the truth is a very small percentage are in fact mafia. Italians have contributed so much to American culture(fashion, food, music, art and artictecture), more than any other ethnic group, however it goes unrecognized and when Italian American groups lobby around such negative stereotypes (Sopranos) everyone just passifies it saying it's entertainment. Well the same goes for Imus...was it a stupid comment? yes, but once you start censoring one comment, you have censor them all. It upsets me when my ethnic group is degraded, but it would upset me more if my rights as an AMerican were infringed on. This country is the greatest for it's liberties, and we cannot start slowly taking them away.
Apr 7th 2007 10:35AM how horrible is it that all we focus on is how pretty or ugly someone is. I truly believe we are all beautiful in our own way.
Feb 23rd 2007 12:45PM I think it's sad. She is telling us that she regrets her life. I don't think she's drunk maybe stoned but big deal, give the girl a break! She wants to go back in time and erase it, what is that telling us. she wants to watch a damn movie in peace and wants to live a normal life, unfortunately she will never have a normal life. All these celebrities are out of control, it's a life that the norm cannot relate to, so i think we have no right to pass judgement on her. She is going through something difficult right now, like every other human being in this world! God Bless you, and God speed.
Apr 7th 2006 7:35PM I AGREE THAT THEY SHOULD GET RID OF ELISABETH, SHE IS TERRIBLE! I HAVE STUDIED JOURNALISM, WORKED ON TELEVISION, AND TRIED SO HARD TO GET A JOB IN THE INDUSTRY, WITH NO LUCK, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT. ELISABETH COMES ALONG WITH HER BLIND LOYALITY OF THE PRESIDENT AND THIS GOVERNEMENT, VOICING THEM ALL ALONG THE TELEVISION, WITH THAT ANNOYING VOICE AND I SAY TO MYSELF HOW IN GOD'S GREEN EARTH DID SHE LAND THIS JOB. I WONDER HOW BARBARA WALTERS AND ALL THE EXECUTIVES THOUGHT SHE WAS PERFECT FOR THIS JOB????
MEREDITH IS A TRUE JOURNALIST, LISA LING IS A TRUE JOURNALIST AND FOR THAT REASON THEY WILL FLOURISH AND THE VIEW WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL.. I'M SORRY TO SEE MEREDITH. I WILL WATCH HER ON THE TODAY SHOW AND I WISH HER LUCK.
