Anheuser-Busch (BUD) tries to save itself with merger, a Yahoo!-like move {BloggingStocks}
Jun 13th 2008 12:10PM I'm a BUD shareholder and I agree with Itguy. This is a well-run company in the hands of its founders. It's also a unique iconic American company -- looking at the big picture, I'd prefer to see it stay as is.

Beat brain cancer with garlic {That's Fit}
Aug 30th 2007 1:11AM Grump, you're correct ... SOMETHING will eventually get us. My grandmother (who died at 101) used to say, "Wouldn't it be a shame to die of nothing?" That attitude probably contributed to her longevity ... and thus dying of "nothing" at that advanced old age. What the heck ... I figure my cancer is probably just going to cut into my "Depends" years, anyway.
Beat brain cancer with garlic {That's Fit}
Aug 29th 2007 11:47PM I'm 44 and two months ago was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Several of my friends have laughed with me over the fact that I'm so fit and that I'm such a health-food addict, and ME, of all people! Smoking is one of the biggest risk factors for this type of cancer -- and I've never smoked a single cigarette. As I told them, it doesn't shake my belief in the importance of eating well and staying in shape -- because my cancer may well have been far more aggressive, invasive, and advanced had I not given myself every advantage to fight it. As for the garlic ... at least one recent clinical study has shown that garlic is EQUAL to the eight-week immunotherapy/anti-carcinogenic treatment I completed (as follow up to surgery) in combatting the return of bladder cancer. Eat your garlic! Best of health to you all.
