Auto insurance industry takes the gas money savings from small car owners {WalletPop}
Oct 27th 2008 12:06PM Air quality is a major concern to me. Powering my car with imported Muslim oil offends me. Minor details, like the ability to mount my nav system on the dash in front of the steering wheel, helped my pick my new car. I bought a Yaris, a car better Consummer report rating than any American made car or truck. With 35 MPG the Yaris is hard to beat. I got 120,000 miles out of my Escort. The Japanese made motor ran better than any of the American made motors I have owned. At 60,000 miles, my brother's Ranger head had to be resurfaced because of warping.
Joe the Plumber: Pay no taxes, get no voice {WalletPop}
Oct 18th 2008 10:56AM Even if Obama reduces my Federal taxes to zero, I will still pay Federal taxes like my gasoline tax and taxes passed in higher prices in products I buy. Greedy people over charge for products and that is why some people are so rich. The rich and super rich should have to pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes to support social programs to aid the people they help make poor and to pay for our country's excessive military budget.
Talk about pork. Only big business truly benefit from programs like NASA.
Study: Wind farms aren't a serious threat to bird populations {Green Daily}
Oct 10th 2008 4:37PM Trying to ban wind mills because they may kill a few birds is like banning cars and planes because they kill a few birds each year. Nuts. Since the design of turbines blades have changed, getting bigger and higher off the ground, the studies will have to compare different designs to be of meaning. Some hunters may complain if certain birds are threatened and hunting those birds are banned.

What's Wrong With Miley Cyrus Panty Pix? {News Bloggers}
Aug 11th 2008 9:34PM If she wants to send some boy photos of her in her panties, to turn him on, to get him to date her in the hope of having sex with her, why would any one be shocked? Parents should know better than to buy a cell phone for young teenage girl. Or have her parents never heard of a girl being boy crazy?

Hot Seat: The Democrats' Plan for Gas Prices {Politics Daily}
Jun 27th 2008 3:15PM The major reason for the high cost of oil is the US membership in WTO, causing huge loss of tax income for the US goverment via taxes on imported items, which has reduced the amount of production here in America, and the huge tax deficts run up by President Bush because of his hugh tax cuts for the upper middle class and the rich, paid for by loans from the Chinese government, all of which has greatly reduced the value of the US dollar overseas. Arabs can not buy US made clothing, US made TVs, US made PCs, US made cell phones..., because Americans do not make most the things we use on a daily basis. Only thing the Arabs can buy from the US is food, planes and cars. We can blaim both the Republicans and the Democrats for membership in the WTO. But the huge tax cuts on the upper class and the rich is clearly the falt of the Republicans and is the cause of 1/2 of the loss of the value of the dollar overseas.
Kazuharu Sakura's Leather Keyboard: Only Touch Typists Need Apply {Switched.com}
Jun 18th 2008 10:51AM I use a Goldtouch erognomic keyboard. Years of typing for SSA gave me tendonitus. That leather covered keyboard is the dumbest idea I have seen in years.
Lawmaker calls for scent-free schools {ParentDish}
Apr 18th 2008 11:11AM I was forced 13 years ago to retire on disability because of my allergy to perfumed products. Some of my co-workers wore extra perfumed products just to make me ill. Part of the reason gasoline cost so much is that many chemcials used in making perfume come from petrochemicals. Years ago, the EPA tried to pass indoor air quality regulations the would restrict the amount of perfumed products and other chemicals permitted in indoor air, but the Republicans blocked those regulations.
