Family Faces Eviction Over Toddler's Noise {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 1st 2012 8:07PM It's true that kids will be kids and at 2 1/2 most have a seemingly endless supply of energy. Still they can and should be taught that there is a time to be active and noisy and a time to be calm and quite.
I strongly believe that it is wrong that they are facing eviction from their flat and that property management company is using a bogus violation to justify it. The neighbors that are complaining are heartless.
HUD Renegs on Letting Evicted 101-Year-Old Return Home {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 23rd 2012 7:15PM This is an outrage. First, the government has no right determining what is suitable for another person nor determine how a person should live. The government doesn't pay our damned bills.
Second, Mrs. Hollis should NOT have to suffer for the idiocy of her son.
'White Only' Pool Sign 'Decorative,' Landlord Claims {AOL Real Estate}
Dec 19th 2011 6:04PM Ms. Heim is a racist, plain and simple. If, as she claims, the pool is private and that everyone needs to seek permission prior to using it, then 1) whose permission does she ask and 2) why didn't she just put up a sign that said pool usage by permission only. If her concern was about chemicals reacting with the pool water, then a sign saying that all people must cover their hair with a swim cap would have addressed the issue.
She's a racist and I hope she's subject to a severe financial penalty.
Her surname seems to indicate that she may be Jewish. Has she forgotten that there was also a time in this country when Jews were discriminated against? How could any group who has ever faced discrimination for some characteristic beyond his/her control ever turn around and discriminate against someone else?
Family Wrongly Booted From Home Returns To Wreckage {AOL Real Estate}
Dec 1st 2011 4:57PM Unless I'm mistaken, the King family has a bssis to file a lawsuit against BoA for wrongful eviction and for the cost to repair their home.
It's No Secret: Stars With Hair Extensions {Stylelist (Main)}
Jun 22nd 2011 8:09PM The only reason why women go the artificial route (hair extensions, breast and butt implants, "fake and baking", chemical peels, skin lightening, etc.) is to attract superficial men that only want "eye candy". Whereas men can be fat, bald and have the fashion sense of a rock (no offense to rocks) and they aren't judged.
If people only knew how the human hair for these extension is obtained, they'd stop using it. I watched "Hair India" and was none too happy. Instead of trying to fake it, take time to grow your own hair or better still, be happy with how you were created because the Creator knows best.
Pal: 'Heartbroken' Hef Thought Crystal Was the One {PopEater}
Jun 15th 2011 5:25PM What does a man Hef's age have to offer/what could a young woman possibly want from someone like Hef except money?
It's time for his doctors to stop writing him scripts for Viagra and it's time for Hef to wake up and realize that women only want him for his money and not his "honey".
Parenting On Demand: How Do You Tell the Difference Between a Child's Wants and Needs? {ParentDish}
Jun 2nd 2011 6:04PM It's easy to tell the difference between a want and a need with a child or anyone for that matter. If the absence of the requested item or assistance is going to have a negative effect on the individual then it's a need, otherwise it's a want.
Being hungry means that food is required because without it then blood sugar levels can drop and concentration can be impacted; making a request for a specific food is a need and giving in to that request on a regular basis sets up a future of tantrums and rebelliousness.
Needing a tissue and expecting the parent to get it when the box is in plain sight or it's location is known, is a want; the child wants to be catered to.
Kids are master manipulators but parents make the rules and the sooner a child learns that the better for everyone.
Parents Upset After School Yearbook Lists George W. Bush, Dick Cheney as Worst People of All Time {ParentDish}
Jun 2nd 2011 5:57PM I find it humorous that parents and school faculty are in an uproar over this. One thing that an education is supposed to give you is the ability to examine a situation or set of facts and draw an accurate conclusion and above all think for self. In the US we also have the freedom to speak our minds, even if others don't agree with us.
These students drew their conclusions and now adults are upset about it! Outrageous!
Four of the five on the list (Hitler, Manson, Bush and Cheney) proved themselves to be god awful people based upon their acts. Bin Laden was alleged to have done these things but other than speculation, media sensationalism and Bush and Cheney's accusations that vilified him and by association, all Muslims and Islam in general, we simply don't know what bin Laden was actually guilty of. Sure he seemed to take credit for it but are we so sure that he was in fact responsible? I think the State of Israel should have been eligible to be put on that list, because it too has proven itself to be guilty of many crimes against humanity.
It's Time to Start a 'No Mean Girls' Coalition {ParentDish}
May 28th 2011 11:18AM I like this article because there's no reason for girls or women or anyone for that matter to be mean. However, by the same token, we also must realize that we don't have to be liked by everyone all the time either.
If someone tells us "no" then we just move on. Hearing "no" doesn't diminish us as individuals. If anything, forcing someone into a situation or into interacting with someone they don't want to breeds hostility because the individual's right to choose is taken away.
Women (and girls) find out all too quickly that we are forced into constant competitive situations and any other female is automatically a rival. We are judged first on our appearance in everything; from social groups, to party attendance, to job opportunities, to the quest for a partner.
Iowa School Principal Delivers Birthday Spankings to Students {ParentDish}
May 28th 2011 11:08AM Seems we are raising a generation of weak minded children who "suffer" psychological problems almost from birth, so much so that we have to coddle them and condone every negative action they do. All of us in the US are suffering from major stress that was directly caused by our violent actions against others. The ones that should be suffering from psychological problems are the children and adults in every country we have ever invaded and are still forcibly occupying.
A lot of children in the US are totally out of control as a direct result of being coddled by their parents and by society. We now have a generation of ungrateful brats that are usually the children of ungrateful brats that have an unnatural sense of entitlement and over inflated egos (Amanda Knox is a good example). They all need a good old fashioned butt whooping with a switch from outside.
This principle is teaching these children a valuable life lesson in the midst of good natured birthday fun; that life isn't always about getting pleasantries, sometimes there's unpleasantness too.
