The amount of hate for the Palin family is laughable (including the shots in this article). The only person that needs to "go away" for the good of the country is Barry Obama. I've spoken with Palin on the phone...extremely nice and engaging lady...you haters need to get a life. Of course, liberals by nature are depressed and bitter people, but let it go.

Oct 9th 2010 1:39PM James Caan, Dustin Hoffman, Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, and (funniest of all) Will Smith??? Good lord, cocaine definitely HAS made its way around Hollywood casting offices. Tom Welling should play the part. He should wear the real costume. He should have NO kids. The main villain should NOT be Lex Luthor. It should be Brainiac or Darkseid...and we should get to see Superman actually go toe to toe with another superpowered nemesis...not lame Luthor thugs. If not Welling, then it should be a relative unknown actor that LOOKS the part and can act. They barely even gave Routh dialogue to speak. I'm sure there are plenty of guys that would fit the part...just none currently in movies. God help us, they'll probably try to cast the god awful Shia LeBouef (sp?) as Superman. Sick of that guy after he ruined the Indiana Jones sequel.

Oct 9th 2010 1:20PM Thank GOD none of those disasters ever got made. Any director trying to cast Dustin Hoffman or Sean Penn as Superman shouldn't be allowed to ever direct again. There wasn't a single person mentioned for any of those movies that would have been a good casting for Superman. Brandon Routh looked the part...best of the bunch outside of Reeves...but the Superman Returns plot was horrible. Superman has an illegitimate kid and the big payoff was Superman lifting a big rock into space. Awful. Tom Welling would be awesome to play Superman on the big screen. For this generation, he IS Superman. One of the reason's Routh's film didn't, um, fly so high.

Instead we will now get the "heroic" black family man president I'm sure. Shocker. The situation was exactly like Gitmo...with the President firmly declaring "we don't do that anymore." Maybe "the event" will turn out to be THIS black president actually creating a new job without bankrupting the country.
