May 8th 2009 10:36AM Same thing happened to me about 20 years ago when I was driving in Illinois. I had just crossed over the western Indiana-eastern Ililnois state line, near Danville, when several cars were ordered to pull over as part of a speed trap set up by the Illinois State Police. When the officer got to me, he told me the fine would be $75 and that I had to pay him right then. I told him that I didn't have that much money on me. He said,'Ok, let's go. We're taking you to jail.' Luckily, I had some other people in the car with me and we all put our money together and came up with $75. He gave me my ticket, my receipt for the cash and let me go.

Oct 30th 2008 10:55AM i find it odd that republicans and conservatives are slammed for so-called "mudslinging" tactics when liberal websites, groups and politicians do it all the time. i don't see any griping here about the likes of keith olbermann or chris matthews, who continually mudsling people who believe different than they do. so atheists are okay to deal with, but christians are not. now i see how modern day politics work.

Jul 10th 2007 2:47PM i see that most of the responses in here are typical of the left-leaning, socialist "hate bush, hate america" tripe (which includes the likes of moore, rosie o'donnell, alec baldwin, susan sarandon, tim robbins, charlie sheen, sean penn) that many are continuing to spew forth in their blogs. michael moore talks a good game, but never has the facts or the balls to back them up. he never likes to be in a true debate because he can't back up his claims on a consistent basis. while moore was in cuba with those 9-11 workers, did he happen to ask anybody in the cuban government about their political prisoners? moore loves castro, chavez and others of their ilk. just like al gore, remember, never let the facts get in the way of a story. sort of reminds me of blutto from animal house. you know, the line about did america give up when the germans bombed pearl harbor? and then the follow up line from one of the other characters in the movie, "nevermind, he's on a roll!" that's michael moore. he just blurts stuff out there, whether the facts are right or not.
