Should The Da Vinci Code Come with a Disclaimer? {Cinematical}
May 11th 2006 9:48PM Now wait a minute now, Christianity as we know it WAS fabricated to suit the church elders at the Council of Nicea (300 A.D. thereabouts).
There were a lot of stories going around, over 100 documented "gospels", and the church leaders picked less than a handful that met their criterion for a good "holy" tale to use to control the people.
By the way, none of the gospels were written down for over 100 years after the supposed death of Jesus. It was all oeral tradition until then. Imagine 100 years of telling stories about "what happened". Do you think any of that information is accurate?
Religious myths, olderst con in the world.
Best & Worst Cities in Which to Live {Gadling}
Apr 13th 2006 8:53AM We are given no information on how these cities are rated.
Whether a city is livable or not depends on a lot of factors, not the least of which is your income.
I was born and raised in NYC and it is livable IF you have the money.
Also, I now live in Atlanta, and it is livable if you choose one of the better sections of town. Some parts are ghetto warfare, others are plastic subdivisions.
Do you want culture, nature, good traffic, safe neighborhoods, good schools? Those are some fo the factors taht make a city "livable".
Too bad the article doesn't cover what is considered livable.
Brokeback Action Figures! {Cinematical}
Mar 30th 2006 2:27PM I wonder, are they anatomically correct? That would be perfect. They could be a breakthrough in the toy market. Reality dolls.
I was just in St. Barths (small Caribbean island) and all the women there go topless on the beaches and there are a lot of nude beaches too, with dick hanging out everywhere. Nobody goes ballistic about it. There is no congressional nvestigation.
This country USA is WAY too puritanical. We need anatomically correct, not NEUTERED, dolls. Stop lying to our children. There is nothing wrong with body parts.
