Mar 22nd 2009 11:38AM After reading the comments by PETA about the Iditarod, I have to wonder what the organization thinks of the Palin administration's aerial attacks on wolves in Alaska. With dozens of wolves already shot to death, her government now is ready to embark on a poison gas campaign in the den areas so that they can exterminate the young puppies who are not ready to come out in the open to be chased and shot by "courageopus" hunters in their planes and helicopters. Come on, PETA, speak out against these intentional atrocities. Wolves, too, are animals, as were the 35 or so dogs you took from a North Carolina shelter on the pretense of finding them homes. Rather than fulfilling that promise, you killed them, so what you have to say becomes pretty meaningless.
Aug 17th 2007 8:43PM Michael Vick's appearance anywhere with the Falcons will invite major demonstrations and create costly security problems for other teams. Football can survive very nicely without the likes of Michael Vick.
