Besides Romans 13(which the government loves to misquote & distort,just like Hitler did),it also mentions to ..."rather obey God than man." Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's,what if "Caesar" wants you to deny your faith,blaspheme God,or forbids you to raise up your children as Christians? The day will come in America when the only legitimate Churches will be the "unregistered" house churches. The "registered" churches will be so compromised that they'll make Laodicean Church look like it's on fire for God. Personally,I'd rather obey God than man.

Jul 8th 2012 12:20AM Let's not forget when Peter & John were arrested for preaching the gospel by the "local authorities" of their day & told to stop. They kept on preaching the gospel & when they were re-arrested for doing such,they were asked by the "local authorities" why they weren't obeying their command. They replied that they'd rather obey God than man. Paul was a "law abiding citizen," but he was still arrested numerous times,even whipped,& eventually beheaded by the "local authorities." I was waiting for someone to quote Romans 13. Tell all of the martyrs who were murdered for their faith how they should have obeyed Romans 13. Adolf Hitler preached romans 13 to the exclusion of all of the other commandments that God gave us to do & not do. I'd rather obey God than man.

Jul 8th 2012 12:11AM What Phoenix is doing is no different than what they are doing in Communist China,& that is cracking down on "unregistered' house churches. Pretty soon,unregistered house churches & going deep into the woods will be the only way Christians can practice their faith. In ancient Rome they had to go into the sewers to practice their faith,& we know how the Romans punished them for it. They punished them by beheading them,feeding them to lions,burning them alive,& nailing them to a cross just like Jesus(don't forget,crucifixion was a very common form of execution back then).

Jun 5th 2009 1:27AM The UK(Britain/England) does not have the legal safeguards that we are supposed to have here in the U.S. The social workers are as bad as any communist bureaucrat was in the USSR & East Germany. They prey on the weak & the poor taking away their children & then putting them up for adoption before the parents can even mount a legal defense. These social workers will not allow anyone in Britain to adopt,in country or out,if they deem one or both prospective parent/parents to have any "bad habits" like smoking or if one or both prospective parent/parents is overweight as determined by the social worker. Maybe the social worker is expecting a bribe to pay for their approval. In the nineties,the UK set up an agency to force "deadbeat dads" to pay for child support.Instead of looking for the deadbeats,they went after fathers already paying child support to pay more money. This caused many fathers legally paying child support to fall into default with their other obligations & many fathers also committed suicide as a result. You ask where the father of this baby is? I'm sure these social workers already know & they are forcing him to pay through the nose(but that's as far as they'll allow him to have contact with this child.They don't want dad,just his "MONEY") even if & when this child is adopted by someone else. Then who is to say that the state won't decide that this child is too handicapped to live. With all of the horror stories I hear of Britain & their state bureaucrats,I'd never want to live there.

Nov 30th 2007 6:04AM Here's a radical thought,why doesn't the NFL just merge with the CFL.Just add the 8 teams of the CFL with the 32 teams of the NFL. If the WHA could merge with the NHL & the old ABA,with its red,white,& blue basketball,could merge with the NBA,then why couldn't the CFL & NFL merge? Ottawa & Los Angeles loses out,but there would be more excitement in the NFL & the divisions wouldn't be radically changed.

Aug 16th 2007 2:10PM Give me a break,who makes up these rules? Is it adultery if you are married but love a Martian? This is like the pharmacies who make drugs & then create a "disease" to fit the pill they are making. People create the cyber world & then they create "dilemmas" to worry our little heads off. Create the internet & then worry about identity theft,pedophiles,& online sexual predators,all created as "dilemmas" to make us all fearful & dependent on big government to protect us.
