GoodGuide's Dog Food Ratings: Which Products Are Best and Worst? {WalletPop}

Jan 30th 2011 5:06PM We used to feed our dog Science Diet. When she turned 6 and the Vet said to move her to a "mature formula" food, we switched to Blue Buffalo. In a very short time we could see a big difference and improvement in her coat and energy level.

I gotta wonder about the validity of this survey. I'm keeping my happy, healthy, not overweight girl on Blue Buffalo!

Water Buffalo {MyDaily}

Oct 26th 2010 4:12PM O, give me a home, where the buffalo roam.......
and I'll show you a house full of dirt.......

But it is a shame that the poor thing had to be put down. Wasn't there a sanctuary or a zoo somewhere that could have kept it more securely?

Cesar Millan or Victoria Stilwell? Who Would You Rather Have Train Your Dog? {Pawnation}

Aug 20th 2010 9:14PM I think it depends on the dog. Cesar would probably reduce my niece's pomeranian to a quivering mass of jello, but for my Australian Cattle Dog, his techniques were the way to go.

Both dogs ended up well-behaved, delightful companions.

Down With Performance Reviews {AOL Jobs}

Apr 29th 2010 8:53PM And now they want to evaluate and pay teachers on student test scores????? Get real -- all the students (especially 8th through 12th grade) would need to do is band together to screw up on the test in order to get rid of a teacher they don't like -- probably the one who expects them to learn and behave!

Except for the Exit Exam, test scores have no consequence for students. It's really amazing how many of them ace the Exit Exam required for graduation and just bubble in cute designs on the answer sheet!

Teachers Wanted, No Classroom Experience Necessary {ParentDish}

Jul 28th 2009 1:53AM I hope this lady check on the impact this could have on her retirement income. She could lose much of her Social Security benefits if she is teaching in a state that has its own teachers' retirement system.

If you are a public employee in an area that has its own retirement system, the Social Security Offset kicks in, and your Social Security benefit is drastically reduced.

Hopefully, Congress will do something about this, but..... until it happens, beware when changing careers!

Jan 6th 2009 5:18PM I was hoping for DOCTOR Howard Dean, but Gupta is OK.

Nov 2nd 2007 11:01PM What about Iceland?

Fabulous country, friendly people, great scenery, wonderful food, no pollution. What's not to like?

What is size 0X? {Stylelist}

Sep 17th 2006 9:42PM Liz Claiborn (spelling?) makes some decent stuff in Women's petites. And sometimes Catherine's (a chain of plus-size shops) will have women's petites. Some Macy's stores have good women's (plus size) departments. Coldwater Creek (shops and mail order) has many of their things available in plus sizes.

As for shoes, Naturalizer and Easy Spirit make a lot of wide shoes that are comfortable, a good value, and don't cost an arm and a leg! Both manufacturers have stores in major outlet malls.

Conan Meets Wachowski Brothers? {Cinematical}
