Nov 6th 2009 6:58PM I was a former worker for a Walmart store and over the course of 1 year I had 6 absences, when I began at walmart my son was 3 months old and had a lot of medical problems making it that he had to go to the emergancy center at the hospital. My wife would call the store I was working at and tell management to leave me a message what was happining so I would not A- go home and find them gone and B- meet them at the hospital after work to be with them. Management would call me to the office and tell me to get out of there and be with my family and take care of them and play a big fake roll that they were family oriented..Well I wanted to become more for the company after a year there and asked if I can become a shift leader where the assistant manager and the co-manager looked up my records and seen those absences (mind you they were not total absences as I worked about half my shift most of the time when it happened, and to prove I was not lying as soon as we got out of the hospital I made it a point to stop at the store with the paperwork that I asked be put into my file for evidence) they told me that taking care of my son and leaving to be there with him and my wife hurt there buisiness and was given a D'day (decision day) what that is you have to write an essay why it is so important to be at work for walmart and not be away from them. Me and my wife were in shock about this, and to top it off they would not accept the essay I wrote and made me re-do it over. then afterwards they made my life a living hell there I was under constant watch and if I took even a 1 minute pause in duties I was made a mockery in front of other employee's and customers it was then I put in my 2 week notice and since then they have made sure it has been very very difficult for me to get another job anywhere. I even went back there begging for my job or any job and they put me thru the hiring process and then told me that I would have another job with them told me what job and what rate of pay I was to expect and then at the very end told me they would call when I was to start and never called me back. In 2 words WALMART SUCKS !!! By the way anything you buy there has been marked up at least by 75% from what they pay for it so you think what your getting is a bargain...well remember that next time your waiting in the line for customer service returning that item you bought that would up not working or was made of crap materials

Sep 12th 2009 4:26PM why do you think that these spammers always get to be the first ones posted on every single article in here ?? because they are from aol themselves ...think about it how many people do you think 'report' these articles they write ?? yet they still stay up there don't they ? that is because aol must be getting some sort of kickback from them to allow them to continually do it and annoy all of us to no end it is a form of advertising just like those of you might know that aol has been under a lawsuit for including these type of advertisements in any of the emails you send or receive look at the bottom of them always an ad for something they are called FOOTERS and aol knew they were not allowed to do it and have been suid for a whopping $103,000.00 bucks and also have to pay all lawyers fees involved for it

Sep 8th 2009 12:21AM I would have to say that this is another A O H E L L ...BS story I tried to google every one of my relatives names and even my wife's name whom I have to tell you that her first name is the only one in excistence in this country. Meaning that her first name is the only one of its kind TODAY, google would do jumps to every other parts of the name and with any of maybe the closest of hits you would have to pay some site a lot of money to do any search .....So the story of this woman is pure CRAP ! Just as 90% of A O H E L L S stories are composed of or so far outdated that it is just pathetic to print, or so badly edited that is would not be worthy news for a middle school newspaper. This is why I stopped paying them any money for a subscription and only use the free part of it for emails....Besides of that who really cares about finding a rich husband or make money on the internet or any of those on some spam site that they allow to be published (ONLY COMMENTS RELAVANT TO THE STORY ARE TO BE SUBMITTED)...C'MON here already how many of you are sick of reporting these comments just to see them still there.....? Will Bloody Texting PSA Get The Message To Teens? {ParentDish}
Aug 25th 2009 4:21PM I think this video should be played maybe every 20 minutes on T.V I live in Upstate NY and I can tell you first hand that there are too many teens 'TEXTING' while driving. I watch them weaving all over the road nearly bumping into other people all the time and the ones walking are as big of a risk. They just don't get it driving or walking there attentions are to busy on that stupid little phone and a danger to everyone around them. Even with laws in place about using a cell phone while operating a vehicle it does not stop the kids or the adults I have even seen the grandmoms doing it. I told congress ( I recieve emails from them and have had opportunities to vote on certain issues) that the whole problem could be solved with a $3.00 chip placed in the computer of a car that would disable a cell phone while the motor was running. In other words the car would have to be off for the phone to work. But like I said to them to think of the costs saved by insurance companies having to pay out for damages I also said to them they wont do it because of the 'POSSIBLE' revenue it may produce from a ticket being handed out ( and how many of those really get handed out, especially with the police themselves talking on there cell phones while driving)...Just think something that would cost $3.00 to produce and cost could be included into the sale of the car compaired to the $6000.00 to $15,000.00 dollars it would cost for a funeral not to mention the pain and suffering of losing someone near and dear, and the possible lawsuits that would go with something like this.....TO ME, THIS IS A NO BRAINER, BUT THEN AGAIN LOOK AT ALL OF THE NO BRAINERS OUT THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE !!

Aug 11th 2009 2:54AM As gross as it may sound to most of you there are lots of people that already pee in the shower, and according to some studies urine helps get rid of different foot fungus's such as athletes feet. I myself have went out and bought a shut off valve for my shower cost me around 4 bucks after I am all nice and wet I shut off the water soap myself up then turn it back on without losing any of the temperature so it is the same when I turn it back on. But onlike most places where I live we are far from being in a drought situation I am in Upstate New York and in the past 3 months we have had nothing but rain with just a handfull of nice days maybe like 8 that did not rain over that time. We also have 2 brand new toilets just put in one uses only a gallon of water to flush the other is a 1 gallon 1 litre but we also use the poem to : if its yellow let it mellow if its brown send it down and our bathrooms never smell

Jul 16th 2009 3:34PM I can tell you this that walmart is blowing smoke up the publics butts with this. As a former employee after quitting them seeing all of the BS they do there only true family is there management team of which the store I was in every single assistant manager was caught having affairs with the employee's and do they get fired .....? no they just get transferred somewhere else. Big punishment there, also as a former employee I can tell you that 90% of there stuff as you already know comes from China but lets say that toaster or coffee pot you want for say $20.00 you think is a great deal but in honesty they only paid around $3.00 for it seriously by using there own scan guns I was able to find what they paid per item compaired to there mark-up and it is from 70 - 90% above. Yes that truly helps the economy there ....There's that is ..and as of lately there has been a memorandum handed down from the main office that every walmart is to lay off 35 employees but to make it look good it is to be from any of there crews that may have been written up or given what they call a 'D' Day and that 'D' day is they give you a day off with pay and then you are ordered to go home and write a 1 full page essay about what you did was wrong for the company and how it hurts there profits. I know this because I was given one and had to write an essay on how taking my son to the hospital was not as important as being in the store to sell people stuff. I have not worked there for over a year and a half yet I can find out so much dirt on them every time I walk into there doors ......KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WALMART !!!
OHH and since you are doing the green thing by listing whats inside of the products can you maybe start by your own stuff first because I will not buy that pizza you sell that says it has beef type product in it as well you should also state where does the meat you sell actually come from ....

Jul 8th 2009 12:25PM I am very sorry to say that a seventh grader can have the intelligence to have correct thought of this type of nature there are kids her age already getting pregnant. Speaking for myself as male now 43 at that grade and age my father left home and abandoned me my mother and my younger brother and sister, I had to grow up very fast and help mom with my sister who was only 5 years old at the time and my brother who was 7 so at 13 years I was very responsible by the time I reached 17 I had to drop out of school so I could get a job to help support our family. I STRONGLY SUPPORT THE IDEA OF THIS CHILD WEARING THAT TYPE OF SHIRT TO SCHOOL BECAUSE IT GAVE HER A CHANCE TO SHOW THE OTHER KIDS WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN EXPERIMENTING WITH SEX CAN LEAD TO SUDDEN LIFE CHANGING THINGS FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE AND UNBORN BABY ESPECIALLY ! I applaud thid child for her concern of the matter
