How to Navigate Washington, D.C. Without Going Nuts {Gadling}

Jul 18th 2011 2:27AM The cabs seemed higher priced than in New York or Chicago. There's ALWAYS a surcharge for something on ever single ride. And then they add another extra charge per person riding, another for time of day, and more for baggage. And they seem to drive a rather long way to get someplace (I've been told to act like a local to avoid this). NY and Chi-Town have DC beat!

How to Navigate Washington, D.C. Without Going Nuts {Gadling}

Jul 16th 2011 7:31PM This is a reply to Robb more than Jay- 'thou I agree with all the Metro is Great!

Driving in DC is a nightmare!! I can count to 40, I know the alphabet. What I don't know is how in the world all the circles, the criss-cross of the grid with the "States"-named streets, the one way detours, steets with the same name but different quadrants make "driving in DC is easy" true? And the lack of left turn lights or lanes? What if they simply outlawed left turns at lights? Might help?

And it's hard to ride a bike in a dress.

Democrats Are the Worst {News Bloggers}

Aug 7th 2007 4:06PM First, how does anyone think Hillary will get elected? They may poll out the kazoo, but I know too many women who will crawl out of their deathbed to vote against her. And how demeaning that the first woman president has to get there on her husband name, not her own.
And what's so wrong with Edwards. He palatable to the southern Republicans who can stomach Guiliani and the Morman Romney. So he has the best chance to get real votes from the most people (Stupid racists or deep thinking voters)!
Wake up to reality people.
