Jan 23rd 2011 4:04AM One more thing. Holland America cruise line is fantastic; your room is cleaned every time you leave it and the crew is excellent. HOWEVER, be careful of the old passengers, some are disgustingly grumpy. My worst cruise experience was on the Holland America Westerdam, where some ancient passenger tried to hit me with his cane because he thought we were trying to sneak ahead of him into the show; we weren't but he didn't believe me. I didn't want to hurt him so I didn't respond but so much said for the old and crotchety.
Jan 23rd 2011 3:56AM I have to disagree. We are in our 70s and spent three nights on the Carnival Fantasy from Port Canaveral. Maybe we were lucky but it was one of the most enjoyable cruises. The younger crowd showed us nothing but respect, holding doors for us and asking us to get in front of them. We even danced our slow dance in the back of one of the clubs while most others danced the new way in front, and nobody cared. Of course Disney is the best (we've cruised Disney three times) if you have children or grandchildren, but you have to be able to afford it. It's by far the most expensive.
Dec 16th 2010 9:22PM It's not life that's not fair, it's our economic system in which success is measured by how much money can be made by screwing employees, consumers, etc. rather than working for a living.
Dec 15th 2010 7:07AM As a grandparent, I try to never say no to anything my grandchildren want to do, whether it be play games, spell new words, or watch Imagination Movers, etc. together. Sometimes I have work to do and they understand. The important thing is for parents (and grandparents) to listen to their children when they want to be listened to, and to be there to guide them when they want or need to be guided. But never feel guilty, it shows.
Jun 3rd 2010 3:59PM Men want to enjoy admiring women. Women enjoy when men admire them. Men want women to underdress. Women do underdress in order to be admired. The only question here is why she was fired.
Jan 11th 2010 2:18AM Try as they will, Obama's problem is not that he's half black, but that he's a Muslim. The democrats can keep trying to hide that fact, but the truth keeps coming out in Obama's words and deeds. Of course, his attempt to turn America's many religions to Islam will fail, but I expect the same voters that gave him the presidency (which he still hasn't shown he's qualified for by not producing a birth certificate) are stupid enough to give him a second term. The Crusades have returned and Obama is on the wrong side.
Jan 10th 2010 5:14AM Barack Obama's falling out with the American people has nothing to do with his color or race; it is a result of his being a Muslim and favoring dialogue with terrorists rather than protecting the citizens of the United States. It is also a result of Mr. Obama refusing to produce a real birth certificate which places his legality to be president in doubt.
Jan 9th 2010 9:07AM Sure, all the world's problems have always been caused by Israel and the Jews. Hitler wouldn't have attacked the world if it wasn't the Jews fault. The Arabs wouldn't be trying to install Islam all over the world if only we let them destroy Israel. Even the present monetary crisis is somehow the fault of the Jews. All the world's problems would go away if Israel and the Jews were eradicated. Any American who believes the above is a putz, a schmuck, an idiot.
Dec 12th 2009 5:55AM Just another reason to impeach the president (present and past), the speaker of the house, and all the congresspeople that voted for those increases. They are our representatives, not the other way around, and if they think they can rob the country's workers blind, it's time we straightened them out. IMPEACH.
Dec 5th 2009 9:17PM Dear Jake,
God has given you the strength to bear this impossible weight on your shoulders for a reason. You are a chosen child who I know will be able to lead the world that you meet as you grow. Maintain your courage forever, since it will be your strength forever. My prayers and the prayers of every caring person are with you. May God guide you throughout your life.
