Scientists question safety of airport full body scanners {Gadling}

May 18th 2010 5:49PM I'm an x-ray technologist, and I just feel like it is irresponsible for us to irradiate people like this. I understand the dose is low, but that doesn't matter. Radiation dose is cumulative, a little here and a little there leads to cancer in the end. As a regular traveler I worry about what I will have to go through to bypass these machines. I also worry as a medical professional about what information the public will be given about the risks associated with this type of screening. I feel as though this will do much more harm than good.

Report: Canada reveals first-ever vehicle emissions standards that looks awfully familiar {Autoblog}

Apr 8th 2010 2:03AM The title says this is about emissions, but the article only talks about fuel economy. Did I miss something? These are not the same things at all.

Spider Camera Holster system lands for retail (video) {Engadget}

Nov 2nd 2009 4:11AM I like the look of this much more than the black rapid. It seems like on a demanding shoot I would much rather have this spider holster. The black rapid seems like it would move around on you and not stay in place. I also prefer not having to have a strap in my way when I'm shooting, and the spyder would be better for that.

United to try checked luggage buffet {Gadling}

Oct 7th 2009 2:57AM Biggest problem with this program is most eliete passangers already check bags for free because of their status. Casual travlers wouldn't see a return on investment and part time road warriers pack it all in carry on's for convinence any way. I just don't see who their market is for this.

Sony Ericsson's motion activated MH907 headset could change things forever (update: or not) {Engadget}

Sep 21st 2009 9:48PM Seriously? No one has yet comment about the huge douche bag in the pictures? He is hands down the nastiest looking person I've seen all day. WTF.
