Chris Henry Dies at 26 {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Dec 17th 2009 1:06PM You are talking sense, my friend. And you're absolutely right. The whole point used to be getting out of the projects, not making millions of dollars and taking it with you. It's really sad.

Dec 17th 2009 1:03PM No, he's dead because he loved her so much. Isn't that what all batterers say? That they love the victim so much? Why, because this guy is a pro football player he can't be abusive?

Dec 17th 2009 1:01PM Why do I need to be there. They were fighting. She tried to leave. He jumped in bed of the truck and got thrown out by someone who was driving when they were upset and afraid and angry and everything else. It's not rocket science.

Dec 17th 2009 12:57PM This is really sad because his woman is probably falling apart right now. She was trying to leave. She didn't call the police. She didn't try and run him over. She was trying to get away WITHOUT hurting him or being hurt herself. Maybe her truck was one of those with an opening window in the back and he tried to grab her through it or maybe he reached through one of the other windows and she swerved because of that. The truth is, women involved in relationships that involve domestic violence (if that is what this was) do love their men. Probably more than what's good for themselves, actually. She probably never thought in 1,000 years that she would hurt him.
And to those who are saying she should have taken him to counseling... you are seriously deluded and understand nothing about this type of relationship. In what domestic abuse situation can the victim make the batterer do ANYTHING??

Dec 17th 2009 12:45PM He jumped into the back of her pick-up truck and you're saying that she killed him? No disrespect meant in any way, I loved watching Chris play in games against my beloved Steelers, but what idiot jumps into/onto a moving vehicle? And why would he do that anyway? To stop her from leaving? Was there domestic violence involved on someone's part?
This is a tragic case of yet another man who cannot let go of his woman, only this time it was the man who got killed. This is truly a tragedy and a warning to all those in explosive relationships: people can and DO get hurt and it's not always just women.
R.I.P. Chris. May you find peace where you are.
Reasons to Quit Facebook {Switched}
Dec 17th 2009 12:34PM Lol. Thank you for this! I agree with just about everything you've said. And I got an extra laugh out of these people who actually took time to DEFEND Facebook in the comments. They act like you personally insulted them. Too funny.
What you guys are missing is this: Facebook actually used to be a fun, useful communication tool, a way to share your life in some way with people you may or may not talk to or see all the time. However, it's now so clogged up with the rest of this garbage that it's almost no fun at all. I don't need to see every aspect of everything everyone else is doing. And if you want to just remove their notifications regarding their apps, you can't. It removes the person from your news feed entirely. I want to see what my sister who lives over an hour away is doing. I just don't want or need to see EVERYTHING. I don't need over 99 requests every day from apps I don't want to use, events I will not go to and so on. Sure you can block them, but you have to weed through them all to do it and that is a pain in the ass.
It would be much easier if people thought it through, as the writer of this article suggests, and just refrain from sending them to everybody. Especially if I've ignored the first 50 you sent. That should be a clue not to send more.
Best Horror Movies of All Time (10-1) {Moviefone Blog}
Oct 30th 2009 6:40AM Halloween, Nightmare and Friday the 13th movies ALL belong on this list. Why? Because they are some of the originals in the horror genre. If not for them, you couldn't have movies like Dawn of The Dead and all of those that are almost more gory than scary. They were also originals in premise. The drowned boy whose mother went crazy with grief and killed people she felt were resposible. The child murderer who was burned alive and now comes back in the dreams of the children of the people who killed him for revenge and to do what he loves best. And the psycho, just evil mental patient who can be stopped by nothing and wants to kill his whole family.
THOSE are original premises. Everything out now seems to be just a bad remake of old ideas.
44-Year-Old Stripper Charges Age Discrimination {Asylum}
Nov 28th 2008 2:57AM She's right: customers should make the call. If she makes no money she'll quit. Obviously she IS making money doing it; she got hired at another club, right?
Sticky Sweetie, Is it Porn? {Asylum}
Nov 28th 2008 2:52AM The question of porn is simply: Does it arouse you? High-heeled shoe fetishism is the most common fetish on the planet, so yes, it probably is sexual to some. For others, seeing a girl with NO shoes on is enough to cause an erection, even though she's doing nothing sexual and may not be dressed sexy, etc.
My opinion? This is the stupidest goddamn thing I've ever seen. What's with the sticky shit? It's dumb. To me. The question really is: is it porn TO YOU.
Rapper Gets 20 Years for Boasting About Shooting {The Boombox}
Nov 25th 2008 2:41AM You people don't get it. It's not about stupidity. It's about not giving a sh1t. These people do things like this because they CAN. What's one more line about shooting someone in a rap song? He probably thought no one would care. And he was right; if it hadn't been for the victim, no one would have.
