Bus driver leaves five-year-old to make his own way home {ParentDish}

There are always two sides to every story, and people have a tendency to try to make their own side look best, of course.
Regardless, I'm glad to see the school is looking at their procedures and hopefully will revamp them.
Bus driver leaves five-year-old to make his own way home {ParentDish}
Sep 26th 2008 6:14AM Poor little guy! Thank goodness a decent person found him instead of someone else.
Sounds like this school needs to revamp their system so the kids get on the proper bus route.
I hope this bus driver is never allowed to drive a bus again! If he was that cavalier about the welfare of a child, he has no business driving a busload of them.
Anna Rexia costume: Funny or not? {That's Fit}
Oct 15th 2007 7:15AM I think the most offensive Halloween costume thus far is the child wearing the Abu Ghraib "littlest prisoner" oufit.
Image google to see it.

Aug 20th 2007 7:23AM The problem comes in when other people think that they can jump in the river sans life jacket thinking they can float like he is while wearing a life jacket.
Bottom line, why lie about what you are doing? I would have still respected the guy.
Why Skinny People Don't Like Fat People: It's Evolutionary {That's Fit}
Aug 4th 2007 11:27PM I am a cardiovascular care nurse. I have worked with patients who have heart disease for over 16 years now.
I can't give you exact statistics, but every day when I take my assignment of patients, I can be assured that at least one will be overweight.
Sometimes all of them are.
When I get an obese patient, I can almost be assured that they will have high blood pressure and diabetes. Diseases that directly lead to coronary artery disease. A lot of times they don't even realize they have these problems until we test for them. They go home with new stents in their arteries and a multitude of new diagnoses.
Losing weight is difficult, but it can be achieved with hard work, eating the right foods, and adding some type of activity daily. Everyone knows the formula: more intake of calories than burned off, then the rest will be stored as energy in the form of fat.
People who are overweight or obese but believe that they are healthy may not realize that it doesn't take too long for the heart to have a harder and harder time pumping blood to all those extra fat cells. After all , the fat cells need blood too. Eventually, it will catch up with them.
Healthy overweight is an oxymoron.
