Video: 747 Makes a Very, Very Low Landing {Gadling}

Aug 1st 2007 10:49PM This is absolutely real. I have been there and have filmed a couple landings myself. The end of the runway is fenced off; however the beach itself is not. In fact, there are some bars cemented in the sand just so you can stand there and hold on while jets are landing and taking off!! The Sunset Beach Bar is adjacent to this beach and they have conversations with the pilots of approaching aircraft being held with the tower on loudspeaker.
