HD Brows: The New Brit Beauty Craze {Stylelist}

Jan 5th 2011 2:12AM I highly recommend Bare Minerals eyebrow POWDER. It comes with a small angled brush for easy application and looks MUCH more natural than a pencil. They come in like 4 different colors so you can pick one that looks realistic to your natural color. Personally, I use it because the benzoyl peroxide in my Proactiv bleaches out my eyebrows a tad and gives them an orange tint. No thank you!

Angry Professor vs. Cell Phone {AOL Video Blog}

May 15th 2007 3:09PM That was handled wrong. Yes, the student should not have his cellphone on and he should definitely not have answered the call, but I don't think that gives the teacher just cause to break his phone. I think it would have been better handled if the teacher just confiscated the phone and made the student stay after to talk about the issue after class.

You Listening, Senator Craig??? {This Just In}

Apr 27th 2007 3:21PM Gay people are the best thing since sliced bread! They keep our planet from being overpopulated and make great additions to your slumber party! It's like having a guy friend without the sexual tension and a girl friend without the competition! I LOVE GAY!!

Going 'Green' With Your Beauty Routine {oldstylelist}

Apr 27th 2007 3:00PM I HIGHLY recommend Bare Minerals to any one with acne prone oily skin! It works miracles....REALLY! I have dealt with acne since I was in fourth grade and nothing could stop it. Then, this year I decided to try this new Bare Minerals stuff at the same time I started Proactiv. The two in combination, AMAZING!! I had tried Proactiv before while I continued using my drugstore makeup with minimal results. Basically, if you have oily acne prone skin, get Proactiv and Bare Minerals. Problem solved. It is worth every red cent!

Let the Blind Hunt! {Gadling}

Dec 20th 2006 8:48PM wow, James! Your "intelligence" boggles my mind! Why do you think there is not enough food or land to sustain them in the first place? Humans are quickly destroying the earth we call home and all memory of a natural environment. So, let's see, we already are doing a fine job of destroying our land, water, and air resources, why don't we just kill the animals too while we are at it! There is no food for them anyway right? Two wrongs don't make a right. We need to focus our attention on saving our planet, if only for our children. Time is running out...

Anna Wintour wants models to beef up {Stylelist}

Dec 20th 2006 8:34PM PLEEAASE! "Fatter" models? Why does everything have to be about extremes? We should be promoting HEALTH... not bones, not obesity. Or by "fatter" do they mean not 20 pounds underweight, only 10 pounds underweight! Using the word "fatter" still sends the message that being anorexic is acceptable, even encouraged. I think models should have to take a BMI test and only those within the healthy weight range should be able to get work. Promote a balanced diet, not diet pills...promote moderate exercise, promote balance!!

Men helping men buy lingerie {Stylelist}

Dec 19th 2006 10:59PM I used to work at Victoria's Secret and had a blast helping guys pick out lingerie for their girlfriends! They always want black underwear....so predictable! Men aren't allowed (or at least weren't) allowed to work on the floor but they could work in the stockroom or behind the register. And for good reason!! You gotta wonder about the guy who is jumping at the chance to work in the lingerie dept. Why don't you just put up a sign that says "pervs wanted, apply within"!!! I mean, I am all about equal opportunities and if he REALLY was gay then I don't see a problem with it, but I think 99% of those who would apply for this job would get caught sneaking in a dressing room with a customer or sniffing panties....

Cannabis, the Movie {Cinematical}

Mar 18th 2006 4:05PM Alright, let's get this straight. Now, I love weed, don't get me wrong. I have been toking almost daily for about 5 years now, but there are negative side effects to smoking. Whether they outweigh the positive effects is debatable. ;) I have done quite a bit of research into this subject since I am a psychology major and wish to study the long term effects of marijuana on the brain in my near future. There really is not any conclusive evidence in either direction that long term marijuana use causes lasting impairement in brain function(or does not), however numerous studies have found that heavy users suffer memory loss, attention deficits (ever felt a bit ADD?), and can impair one's ability to retain new information. The good news is that it appears that most if not all of your brain function is regained if you choose to obstain (i.e. quit). If I have learned anything from my 22 years on this planet, it is that life is all about a balance and moderation. Sure, have a glass of wine...but if you drink ten, your body is going to let you know its not very happy with you. The same goes for weed. Sure, smoke out with your friends on the weekend, but if you start smoking by yourself, purchasing when you don't have the finances, or shirking your responsibilities in order to get high, then you know you have a problem. Weed is not "bad", its the abuse of it that is the problem. The question is,"do you have the willpower to moderate?"
