IKEA's Surprise Holiday Bonus for Employees: Bikes for All {WalletPop}
Dec 11th 2010 3:26PM Not a bad idea, but I'm sure that IKEA must employ workers that use wheel chairs, and the like. Did those employees get an alternate gift?

Barbara Walters Says Paula Deen Makes Kids Fat {ParentDish}
Sep 25th 2009 10:53AM I bet that Ms Walters would not have spoken that way to the late great Julia Child. Ms Child used tons of real butter in her recipes. I think that Ms. Walters has a predudice against Southerners.

New state laws that affect travelers in 2009 {Gadling}
Jan 6th 2009 3:08PM If you own your own bar or restraunt, you should be able to establish your own smoking or non-smoking policy. Patrons should be able to choose. Big Brother is WAY TOO BIG anymore.

Jan 6th 2009 2:56PM And regarding Oregon's No Trans-Fat law...Give Me a Break. If I want to eat a bag of greasy potato chips, so be it. If I do it every day and end up sick and in the hospital, at least I have the insurance to pay for it. If I lose my insurance and can't pay for it, at least I have paid into taxes all these years to help pay my share. Can't say that for all those illegal aliens that get free med care. I welcome all aliens that come here legally, however, if you can't get the papers, go home. Wonder if Oregonians feel the same way?

Jan 6th 2009 2:41PM I think that it should be left up to individual businesses as to whether smoking is allowed on premises. I'm speaking about bars and small restraunts. That way, everyone would have a choice. I understand why non-smokers don't want to be around smoke. I also understand why smokers want to be able to have a cig with their drink. Freedom of choice, folks. That is what this country is supposed to be about.
