Jan 25th 2010 2:18PM Thest dang dems only know how to spend. I wonder how their personal finances are, are they really this dumb, or is it they just plain don't care. Right now we have dug a hole in our pocket so deep that even a rocket ship cannot reach daylight.
Ford talks tough on quality, promises best-built small cars {Autoblog}
Aug 17th 2008 7:54AM About Lexus being so great, an over-priced Toyota, I have had 8 Ford Taurus sedans, 4 new and 4 used. The latest, and still have it is a 2004 SEL, DOHC 24 v engine. It has 111,000.00 miles on it and zero problems with one exception, a battery at 86000 miles. There were no other problems with the vehicle, and it gives me 34 MPG on the highway, and 23 city. Not too shabby. I purchased a '92 used, had 107,000 on it when I got it, 310 when I sold it. It had the 3.0 L V6, and again, not one problem! My '88 had 115000 on it when I bought it, had a paint defect on it, paid 5000.00 for it, sold it back to Keller Ford 3 years later for the same price I bought it for. My '86 wagon only had 151000 on it and I traded it for a sedan, so obviously, I didn't have a problem with it either, not nearly enough miles on it to have anything show up. If you cannot dirve a car over 100,000 miles completely care free, you bought the wrong one. Have you driven a Ford lately? The Taurus has become an industry standard.

Mar 16th 2006 1:00PM Put an impressive name on it, maybe change it from Datsun to Nissan or something, hang a big price tag on it and you will find fools who will buy it if it is an import. If I treated one of these like I treat my Taurus 3.0, it would be junk inside of a year, I know, I had both, and the Toyota blew up at only 124000! Small wonder they aren't part of NASCAR, this takes stamina. If one likes forign so much, maybe they ought to live with them. Look at VW in the 60's, ther warranty said if it isn't broken now, it won't be covered, and meanwhile you had mandatory 3000 mile inspections where they would tighten up loose bolts, etc, and if they found a badly worn part, they would replace it at your expense so they don't have to cover it later on down the road, and if they didn't replace it, you have no warranty. They are good at what they do, and if you let them, they'll do you too.
