Dec 21st 2012 6:25PM Lin, said a while ago;

"The 2nd amendment was written over 250 years ago when people were shooting muskets, it took them 15- 20 minutes to load a musket to shoot one time and it wasn't even accurate...you cannot compare that to todays military weapon with a 100 round magazine clip. No one should own one of these."

I could quote a noted Progressive personality here in America Who asked a "guest" "Just how stupid are you?", or words to that effect. It has never takebn "15-20 minutes" to load and fire a musket, I.e. a front loader! Possibly three minutes is the largest target you are looking for?

Perhaps you should review the movie "ZULU?"

Dec 21st 2012 6:17PM MY dear Lin,

I would that you do what is required in most scholarly forums and show us your sources for your claims!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other-wise, your "facts" are merely "Opinions!"

Dec 21st 2012 5:32PM Come on guys and gals, be reasonable!

Even Diane Fienstein and "everyready" Reed, whom are "progressive" Democrats admit that they have carried
weapons for "self defense!" Gee, and they still work to deny the rest of us to do the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there is a God then they will be punished, but even without a God, they should be punished for being hypocritical!!!!!!!!!!!

Dec 21st 2012 5:08PM I will start with this prior post.

"We're not a political website and we typically shy away from editorials."

>>> lol !! Who do you think you're kidding ! Every article posted on this site is infused with Leftist propaganda, and everyone who comes here knows it. HuffPo wears its Socialist agenda on its sleeve for all the world to see !

Just how true the above post is! Certainly no mover and shaker working for the HuffPost, can deny it!!!!!!!!!

I am a retired Federal Agent, with 38 years of service, and I am also a certified Firearms Instructor, and I have trained with both the U. S. Navy Seals of "Seal Team One", in California, as well as with certified Secret Service instructors!!

No one under my training has ever shot a criminal, much less as civilian!!

technically, I would rather receive oncoming fire by most anyone shooting a "fully automatic" weapon. That is these weapons are designed to flood the field of fire with supression fire. There exists almost no controlled shots (without long sessions of training) since the first shot is fired. But, when it comes to "Semi-automatic" fire, the shooter must first obtain a target and then engage the "trigger", wich makes anyone with such a weapon, and with training, a much more deadly opponent!

Fully Automatic weapons are considered, at least by me, as bullets designed to hit "for whom it concerns", that is, it is fire designed to supress fire from the opponent!

But, I will conceed that most of my above is beyond the bounds of understanding by those of you who would never even handle a firearm of any type!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jul 15th 2012 5:00PM I have strange feelings towards the buildings referred to above. In on sense, I would argue that ones property is ones castle, etc., and in another way, I feel that certain codes should be followed. But, it appears that in some instances, forward thinking persons can build and operate a substaninable property in defiance of the "codes"!

That is what if the buildings actually "exceed" the code, but years and years of "code" writers, infulenced by local "Union" ecpertise, have made it so difficult to operate "out of the box" that any unique person, can actually build some things that exceed "code" expectations without any loss of safety, or reliability?

Perhaps this man has done so?

Jul 15th 2012 4:39PM Just why has the "Law" lost its "Common Sense?"

Perhaps many of our new lawyers and judges do not realize that "Comon Law" means to a great extent only "common sense!"

Thus the world of the lack of "common sense" that we are now forced to live within!

It makes one sick!

Feb 24th 2011 9:25PM Just why has no one mentioned that it was Frazier who spent a day or so in the hospital after the fight! Yes Ali had a cracked jaw, but Frazier the next time he was photographed looked like he had been beaten with a ball-peen hammer!

I actually gave the rematch to Frazier!

Feb 3rd 2011 8:58PM If all of the freshmen at Memphis ever learn that they are no longer super-stars, and if W. Witherspoon ever gets the chip from his shoulder, then Memphis, if they can get an invite, might well be able to beat anyone, anytime, to quote a phrase made famous by USM!
