I love to travel alone, no better way to meet folks from all over the world. Often I meet up with people I know or re meet new people I have found traveling. Although I have to admit, now I love to travel with my Grand daughter...get out and see the world, lots of good eats, great music and wonderful children of God to meet!!!! DO IT!!!!

Jul 15th 2007 12:36AM Ok, here is the real deal,I was born in Las Vegas and am over 50 years old, so I have spent many summers here....it does indeed get to 120+. Not often, but I saw it week before last. It was 134 in my car (parked in the shade) at 6pm on Wednesday. The thermometer on my patio(in the shade) topped out at 122. The official high for the day was 117. Hot is hot, dry or not. While I work on the Strip, I spend no off time there. We attend church on Sundays, go hiking, have fire staions, banks,a university and a college,take food in to sick friends, give our kids birthday parties. It is just like any other hometown, away from the tourist area...it is the people that come in from everywhere else that frequent the Strip joints, topless pools, and casinos....so please quit picking on us :)
