The 25 Most Exquisitely Sad Songs in the Whole World {Spinner}

Feb 25th 2011 8:43AM The River may be sad, but You're Missing is a complete tear-jerker.

Time to Turn Off National Anthem Before Sports Events {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}

Feb 9th 2011 12:50PM Ridiculous to even consider stopping this tradition.
Now, what we DO need to stop is the idea that someone is "performing" the national Anthem, instead of LEADING THE CROWD IN THE SINGING of the anthem. Goofballs like Aguilera warble around, wallowing in their own performance, but when someone (best with a choir or other group of persons) just sings to regular meter, the crowd can sing along, and that's what needs to happen.

Is Homer Simpson Really the Top TV Character of All Time? {AOL TV}

Jun 7th 2010 6:28PM Certainly, THE DOCTOR (From Doctor Who) since 1963 had been the greatest TV character of all time.

Just because Americans are woefully ignorant of him doesn't make it less true.

What Made Us So Sensitive to Spoilers? {Cinematical}

Mar 16th 2010 6:41PM Psycho is partly where the whole thing started! Before that, people would very often just go to a film whenever, watch through to the end, then from the beginning until where they came in. Hitch had Psycho marketed in theatres with, "no one admitted after 15 minutes" or something like that.

I personally have hated any spoilers all my life, to the point where the majority of trailers show me way too much.

The Top Ten Sci-Fi Adaptations {Scifi Squad}

Jan 14th 2010 8:33AM If you've not read "Planet of the Apes" by Pierre Boulle, you REALLY should give it a go. It's very short, and puts a really different spin on the story. Also source of a couple of ideas from the Burton remake!

Yosemite's Ahwahnee Hotel to undergo first major renovation in 82 years {Gadling}

Aug 17th 2009 3:32PM I believe this is what they used for The Overlook hotel in "The Shining".

That hallway carpet ... iconic but ghastly.

Star Trek Movies Quiz {Moviefone Blog}

May 11th 2009 12:37AM Bjo Trimble came up with "Tiberius" off the cuff at a convention Q & A, and as "the Ultimate Fan" it ended up in the animated like a year later.

My Fake Baby {AOL Video Blog}

Jan 9th 2008 6:01PM We just got back from London where we saw a show about this. We thought it HAD to be some kind of joke, until it slowly dawned that it was real, and possibly the creepiest thing we'd ever seen!!!
