3G iPhone Data Poll: How much data have you used? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 15th 2008 5:15PM About 120MB so far. 100MB of that is received. Doesn't sound like much. :(

iPod touch software update available soon {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 11th 2008 11:21AM it's not the monthly subscription that you pay that makes it subscription based accounting. It has to do with how apple realizes the earnings in their report. I believe it is similar to depreciation being calculated over time. It doesn't have to do with the fact that it is included in your monthly fee. It is more like instead of apple saying we make $300 today. They say we made $x per month for the next 2 years.

In store iPhone 3G activation only a myth? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

AT&T making out like bandit on iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 20th 2008 1:36PM I am planning on switching to ATT when the 3G iPhone comes out. But instead of paying $20 more, I'll be taking a cut in minutes. It sucks, but that is all I can afford. I am also going to miss my 20% corporate discount that I have with Verizon. I really wish they would stop blocking things like that with AT&T.

Ask TUAW: Microsoft compatibility problems, iPhone charging, Mail bouncing, syncing, and more {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 15th 2008 8:27PM In response to Kyle's question. I don't know if this is the solution you are looking for or not, but I'm pretty sure you could set your hotmail account to forward all of your mail to your .mac e-mail address. This may not be the optimal solution if you want to actively use your hotmail account still. But right now I have three e-mail accounts and have 2 of them forwarded to Gmail. This works really well. Especially since Gmail can send E-mails as other accounts (i.e. I can send an email using my school address from the Gmail website)

Hope this helps.

Everyone is now charging for extra bags. Get used to it. {Gadling}

Mar 28th 2008 5:06PM It bothers me that people think that airline prices are reasonable. I will admit that for many popular routes prices have remained competitive. The problem is for those of us who don't live on popular routes. I live in Grand Forks, ND and Northwest is the only airline that flies to our airport. They do not hesitate to charge whatever they want to their customers who have no other option. I would like Northwest to explain to me why a 2.5 hour flight from orlando to minneapolis is $200 while a 45 min. flight from Minneapolis to Grand Forks is well over $400. That right there shows that they don't care about their customers. Airlines will charge you for anything that they can get away with, including premium seats, etc. And since when did the first 15 rows of a 25 row aircraft become premium? If airlines are going to have the gaul to charge you $5 for a sandwich on a 6 hour flight they should at least be set up to give change. You would never go into a restaurant and have them tell you that you need to use exact change. If you are going to charge at least be set up to do it.

I guess what I am trying to say (even if it did turn into a rant) is: don't just assume that because your ticket prices haven't changed that they aren't making up for it somewhere else. They are making up for it with all the people that don't have a choice of airlines.
