Tell Us Your Dumbest Travel Mistakes, Win A Copy Of "The Smart Traveler's Passport"! {Gadling}
Jun 1st 2007 9:33AM My first trip abroad (not counting Europe) I went to Morrocco. My first day in Marrakech, I believed the guy who told me that as his new friend, he would take me on a tour of the tannery. No money, just a free tour. An argument and lots of dirhams later, I was left to wander through the souks trying to find my way back to my hostel. Looking back, I can't believe I fell for it, but I guess travel is a learning process. You can't learn from your mistakes until you actually make them.
