Jul 22nd 2011 12:26PM Maybe in the winter but PB is a nightmare w/way too many partiers and traffic a mess on the beach hwy - expecially on ony given holiday. Used to be awesome but ruined when Spring Breakers found is several yrs. ago - kinda like the mess now called Mexico Beach. Was so quiet and laid back. Just mention a place being quiet on the evilnet and in no time it's slammed with people.

Feb 11th 2011 2:47PM The only comment that registered 'most probable w/me after reading most was the one that mentioned genetically modified (GM) foods/genetically engineered (GE) foods. Viruses are introduced to seeds to enable the plant to withstand certain attacks from damaging causes - please note: viruses mutate after a while and no one - not even the creators of these viruses - know what kind of mutations will eventually occur. Now doesn't that make you just ecstatic over the govt. allowing the FDA to approve such crap! and all in the name of more food from fewer seeds. No telling what those nasty little bugs are doing in our systems! This is serious stuff, folks. Look into it yourself if you are not informed.

Sep 11th 2010 1:38PM Big job, big pay. That's exactly what got GM into a mess in the first place. Of course, due to promises by O'Land, unions and their members will be exempt from the excise tax imposed on the rest of Americans to fund healthcare until 2018 - at which time, I'm sure, union lobbyists will be pulling out all the stops to make sure the exemption is extended.
By the way, you should leave Ford out of the equation - they weren't bailed out! Didn't need it. Someone must have been doing something right in spite of the union (UAW).

Aug 15th 2008 10:17AM After reading the majority of the comments berating blacks and/or whites, it was quite a shock to see how many of the writers are not fluent or have even a basic grasp of the English language; i.e., the misuse of words and, even worse, the spelling! Is this a result of the education now received in our schools or the overuse of texting? If you want to be heard, learn how to speak (write) and spell! Otherwise, you appear to be yet another undereducated whiner.

Jul 8th 2008 12:51PM Regardless of the time it may take, a waiter or waitress should NEVER ask if a customer wants change back!! NEVER. Take the ticket and money and bring back the change- even if it's only 2cents. Just do it. I am saddened by service in most places these days. I remember my training at Steak and Ale over 30 years ago (when it was owned by N. Brinker) and I still say it was the best. Over the years, I was forced into a 2nd or 3rd job to make ends meet many times and waitressing was my choice. If you serve properly and remember that the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT, you can make some pretty decent bucks! I sure did!!

Mar 9th 2006 6:25PM Enjoyed reading all the ways people have made butter! Simply put, if you can make whipped cream in a bowl, you can make butter. Just keep whipping it! I promise, it will turn to butter. While butter is still in the bowl, use the back of a wood spoon to press the "water" out - pouring off as you do, add salt if you like, put mixture in a covered container and keep refrigerated. Good stuff!!
