My wife, "That's nonsense. Spain is known for it's sausages that contain horse meat. At least in Catalonia and Barcelona where I've been... Malaga, Cadiz..."
Me, "Hmmmm.. that's what I thought."
My wife, as she googles countries that eat horse meat, "I'm just googling it and it's mostly the Roman countries... Italy, France, Spain... they eat it... highest consumption is in Italy, none in Portugal, but there is in Spain...."
So there you have it. She says it tastes like beef but better (her beef frame of reference is the grass-fed european type rather than the corn-fed stuff we have here in Texas). It's tougher because the animal uses it's muscles more.

Mar 16th 2011 10:30AM That's awesome you and your family decided to do that! My wife (who is a German citizen) and I have mulled over the idea about living in Germany for a time. We have no children as of yet but since they will automatically be German citizens(because their mother is one), they will have the benefits of such. So their healthcare and education is paid for there.
Part of my wife's family is from the region in and around Cologne which I find to be very beautiful. We actually got married in the family church in one of the very very tiny villages in the Eifel region 3 years ago. We always go back there when we visit.

Oct 20th 2010 11:01PM Privacy concerns and such aside, think about it. Metal detectors, X-ray machines, TSA fondlers all search for something ON the pilot.....

If there's nothing on the pilot. He's good to go, right?

He happens to fly the plane.
THINK about it...
Maybe the TSA just wants to steal his watch or something like that since that's a trend so it seems.
