YOU are putting a postman out of work by sending your complaint on this computer instead of writing a letter directed to the stores YOU complain about. YOU are also the problem. Oct 31st 2009 7:03PM I absolutely refuse to use a self-checkout station and will wait in line for a manned check stand instead. The goal of these self-checkouts are supposed to be for the retailer redistribute staff to other jobs and to save money and pass that savings on to the customer, but SOMEBODY has to be paying for these machines, and I only see prices going up and not down, and without fail, I see 2 or 3 employees standing around gossiping by the self-checkouts instead of helping customers or doing other work. Home Depot seems to be the worse for this infraction and at my local Home Depot has closed down all the manned checkouts and are only using the self checkouts (at least during the times that I go there.) Therefore, I stopped going to Home Depot and instead will go an additional 5 miles to go to Lowes where they seem to always have at least one manned checkout available. The few times I have had to use a self checkout, I purposely sabotage the system that insures that you put your item into a bag to insure that the attendant quit talking, or puts her magazine down and does some real work. These self checkouts are the biggest crock of bull ever to be released on a customer!

This would also include official offices on the other side of the river in VA, which would mean an official shift of the area known as DC slightly west and decrease the size DC as we know it, and give the public their "Representation" for their taxation as new residents of Maryland.
