Woman Jailed For Dragging Kid on Leash {ParentDish}

Aug 5th 2009 1:30PM i don't see what the big deal is. I used to be leashed all the time. It was just a fact of life, if you're a mom, and you need to run some errands, it's impossible to pay attention to what you're doing and to your child, but naturally you child is more important so if they start misbehaving then that's kind of it, you can't do what you intended to do. I admit, I used to do all sorts of horrible things, like run up to strangers and ask them what kind of job they have. In retrospect I don't blame my mom in the least for putting me on a leash.

The Best Gifts From New Guys {Lemondrop}

Dec 19th 2008 1:46AM I feel I should point out that women seem to prove their love with thoughtful presents, but men tend to try and prove their love with little things, like hugs and basically "getting clingy" still though, some of your guy's presents really suck. I'm no genius at reading minds, but I've never given a horrible present. When a guy gives you things that are obviously last minute, that should be a warning signal. Also, a clue, you can usually guess how a man will treat you by the way he treats his mom, so if you notice him giving his mom something dumb, you know to get out.

The Most Irritating Phrases in the English Language {Lemondrop}

Nov 14th 2008 10:00PM the most annoyign phrase/word, when people say "obviously". it might not be obvious. Like when I was in my design class and they were explaining their project she kept saying "so obviously there is no focal point", "for obvious reasons I didn't go with red", "I was obviously using gouage" and it's like .... NOT IT"S NOT OBVIOUS! WE WEREN"T WATCHING YOU MAKE YOUR ^*%^&% PROJECT. even when we're sitting there talking until class starts, she's like "I obviously supported McCain..." and we're like NO IT"S NOT OBVIOUS! I mean we're in Long Beach, CA, so if you think it's obvious you're a McCain supporter you have to be retarded, people would naturally assume you're for Obama in this territory

Big in Japan: Do video games make kids aggressive? {Gadling}

Nov 13th 2008 12:26AM I agree that it is the parents responsibility to make sure the TV and video games are appropriate for their kids, and you can't really say "well what if they play it at a friends house" because the exposure isn't nearly high enough.
But on the other hand, I am a GTA junkie, and I find myself getting angry easily, and more aggressive in high stress situations. It's hard to explain, there's the rational side of me that knowing smashing cars and walking away unscathed is unrealistic, but the irrational side just wants to smash into the lazy -ass who's driving 40 mph in the carpool lane on the freeway. I can't blame violent video games 100% for it, but it's certainly more noticable after long periods of time playing that game.
sorry for the long comment, love your blog, hope you get to run it for years to come

Obama is a bad word at some Mississippi schools {ParentDish}

Nov 10th 2008 3:02AM there's a joke, how people say "you're my mississippi", meaning, youre the only think keeping me from being in last place. now I know it's true

Big in Japan: 5 things I wish I had known before moving to Japan {Gadling}

Sep 12th 2008 2:33PM I wish I knew proper greetings. Once I tugged my forelock as is custom with my clan for a super ultra polite greeting, and I think it grossed them out
