Galley Gossip: Gifts for the flight attendant (and frequent flier) {Gadling}

Dec 26th 2008 11:39AM frank96 - a better post I have yet to witness. Excellently said, sir, and my hat is off to you and all those who share your occupation.

Inconvenient Candidate? Gore Wins Nobel Prize {Politics Daily}

Oct 12th 2007 6:00PM "A travesty of a once proud and relevant Award. As it was predicted by Alfred Nobel himself, the awards have become politicized and thus yet another vainglorious outlet for those who would preen and strut their personal and political agendas in the name of 'Truth.'
Shame on that once illustrious group in Sweden. You have come back to Earth finally and reduced yourselves to manipulative chicanery in the name of politics.
That rumbling you hear is Nobel in his grave damning the lot of you to Hell and wishing the rest of us would wake up.
I mean, Al Gore for God's sake!!!
Embarrassing."

I agree 100%, Gwynne.

Fall's Hottest Trends {oldstylelist}

Sep 27th 2007 6:09PM I've found that (when using washable mascara) if you get mascara under your eyes, you can just wet a Q-Tip or get a square of toilet paper damp and wipe off the mascara before it dries.

Jul 16th 2007 3:04PM Jimbo - your comment about God being racist is, I think, ignorant. People of every skin color have health issues pertaining to their specific race, and there are tons of diseases that affect ALL skin colors.

Mo Wants To Know ... Should People With Gnarly Feet Be Discouraged From Wearing Flip-Flops? {News Bloggers}

Jul 1st 2007 1:00AM Maya:

I offer my sincerest apologies, as I thought you were a "hater" who was just, well, being grumpy. I was unaware that you were trying to prevent others from causing themselves physical harm. (I was also in a bad mood when I wrote that comment, so you received some of my wrath, unfortunately. Again, I apologize.)

I think my flip-flop fetish will shrink considerably after learning that the shoes are bad for your feet. You might have saved my feet, so thanks very much.

I must admit that I wear...dare I say it...CROCS...on the way to and from rehearsals. I like the way they make my feet feel, especially after a long day of dancing, but they aren't very fashionable.

Do you have any suggestions for *cute* footwear that will give me the support I need? My knees hurt after a really long rehearsal sometimes and I'd like to wear cute shoes with some structure to them.

Mo Wants To Know ... Should People With Gnarly Feet Be Discouraged From Wearing Flip-Flops? {News Bloggers}

Jun 30th 2007 9:34PM To Maya: Stomp on my feet and I'll give you a battement (pronounced "baht-mah" for all you non-dancers out there) to the head.

I'm a dancer and I have pretty gnarly feet. I keep my toes clipped and paint them when I can, but my calluses (on the bottoms of my feet from multiple pirouettes) are there to stay. Without them, I'd be unable to dance barefoot. You can't see them unless I show you the bottoms of my feet, but they are there.

So, if you feel that "ugly" feet are disgusting to look at, don't look. Don't say a word. Go to the spa and get a pedicure, if you want. But leave me and my gnarled feet alone.
