Galley Gossip: The second best thing about being a flight attendant - Waikiki, Hawaii {Gadling}
Oct 13th 2008 11:10PM I'm glad to hear that there are still flight attendants who are pleased to have their jobs. A lot of the ones I have come across don't seem too happy to be doing what they're doing, and it shows in the way they treat the passengers. I once had one ask me if I needed a special invitation to get off the plane, just because I chose not to bump and push my way off with the rest of the cattle.
Is Plus-Size the Average Clothing Size? {Shopping Articles Blog}
Oct 11th 2008 5:04PM OK, I'm still reeling from the pletora of grammar and spelling mistakes in the comment posted by "lobo" (who doesn't even know that we capitalize the first letter in a name). Why don't we address the epidemic of illiterates in this country while we also take steps to alleviate the national obesity crisis? Let's work on having sound bodies AND sound minds.
Ads Gone Bad: Edison electrocutes Topsy the elephant {BloggingStocks}
Sep 5th 2008 11:22PM What a revolting display of cruelty. On top of the fact that this animal probably spent all of its life in chains, to kill it in this manner is monstrous. Everyone responsible for this should have been put to death the same way.
Ads Gone Bad: GM's suicidal robot {BloggingStocks}
Sep 5th 2008 11:03PM Am I the only one who noticed that the robot was having a NIGHTMARE? I've had plenty of nightmares about terrible things happening to me and it doesn't mean I will seek them out once I'm awake. Geeeez, get over yourselves already!
Do Not Fly Spirit Airlines... {alexrudloff.com}
Aug 19th 2008 2:16AM I have flown Spirit twice out of Fort Lauderdale. The first time was to New York and last week to Las Vegas. I have not experienced any problems except for two 2-hour delays.
I have not had any customer service issues. I called customer service once and was immediately connected with someone in India who spoke pretty decent English. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones.
I do agree that it is outrageous to charge $30 round-trip to check your first bag and on top of that to charge between $10 and $30 round-trip for an assigned seat. You have to keep this in mind when you are comparing Spirit's fares with the other airlines.
If you have kids, you had better pack snacks for them because a tiny can of Pringle's will set you back $2 and a bag of Combos costs $4. Soft drinks and water are $3 each. They do not serve any complimentary snacks or refreshments, no matter how long the flight.
Based on personal experience, I would fly Spirit again, but I now keep in mind all of the additional expenses that will increase my total fare.
Thank you, Alex, for creating a forum where we can freely exchange ideas, which is the principle that this great country was founded on.
Do Not Fly Spirit Airlines... {alexrudloff.com}
Jul 23rd 2008 5:59AM This is the third time I try to post a comment here. I hope it goes through this time. Anyway, all I want to say is that I found out recently that you can get BETTER FARES THROUGH YAHOO TRAVEL than you can through SpiritAir. It seems they use several search engines simultaneously to guarantee the lowest fare. 'Nuf said. Happy travels to all!
¿Como se Termina una Relación Abusiva? ¡No Se Termina! {AOL Latino Blog}
Jul 13th 2008 5:34AM QUIERO ANADIR MI GRANITO DE ARENA Y COMENTAR QUE NO DEBEMOS RECHAZAR SOLAMENTE UN ABUSO FISICO SINO TAMBIEN CUALQUIER ABUSO VERBAL O PSICOLOGICO, YA QUE ESTOS HACEN TANTO O MAS DANO QUE EL FISICO. LAS HUELLAS DEL ABUSO FISICO A VECES DURAN DIAS O SEMANAS, PERO EL ABUSO PSICOLOGICO PUEDE DEJAR HUELLAS DE POR VIDA. DEBEMOS QUERERNOS LO SUFICIENTE COMO PARA EXIGIR UN TRATO DIGNO DE TODAS LAS PERSONAS EN NUESTRAS VIDAS. QUE DIOS LOS BENDIGA Y PROTEJA A TODOS.
Stranded Plane Passenger Confronts Pilot {AOL Video Blog}
Jul 5th 2007 3:17AM It is interesting to note that no one has mentioned the concept of FALSE IMPRISONMENT. You cannot keep a civilian confined to any area, no matter the size, against his will unless you are a law enforcement officer with probable cause to make an arrest. Maybe if more of us knew and enforced our civil rights airlines and other burocracies would not get away with this kind of unconscionable behavior. If passengers started suing the airlines for false imprisonment they would think twice about subjecting human beings to this kind of abuse.
San Francisco mayor takes on ... bottled water? {BloggingStocks}
Jun 29th 2007 12:41AM That dictionary in your bookcase is not there just to collect dust. The word is politicians, not politicions. Likewise, precedent (because it precedes) not precident. Finally, gem of all gems, ludicrous is not spelled ludacrous unless you're a rap artist. Regarding the bottled water issue, how about banning something that comes in plastic and is NOT healthy for you, like sodas and those so-called "energy" drinks?
