'Princess Cottage,' Home That Became Hurricane Sandy Symbol, Might Yet Be Saved {AOL Real Estate}
Dec 2nd 2012 12:36PM This is a historic building. I hope it was on the historical register. I used to live several towns away that was devastated. NJ, the sign was put up because people were blocking the road for photo ops. Cleanup crews were having trouble getting through the area. The help part was not aimed at just that house. It was aimed at the asshole tourists to help the community.
Your cruise comments really do matter {Gadling}
Apr 10th 2011 8:13PM You need to read your cruise contract. Ports can be canceled at the cruise lines convenience. they do have a schedule to keep. If there is a problem at one port, they can opt to cancel any other port of call. I have never had that happen and hope to never experience it either. I have sailed Carnival more than you know. I have had nothing but good times on it. The crew on every ship I have sailed on have been exceptional.
Jail or Trial? Lindsay Lohan Gets More Time to Decide {PopEater}
Mar 10th 2011 6:33PM Lohan and Charlie Sheen would make a great couple. They are both druggie alcoholics that don't understand the meaning of NO. Both need to do the right thing and go to jail for their flaunting violations of the law.
How to Save on Gas as Prices at the Pump Climb {WalletPop}
Feb 26th 2011 11:59AM Speculators, of whom I suspect are tied into the oil companies are really responsible for the high oil prices. We need to tap our own resources of oil and look into producing fuels artifically as the Germans did in WWII. We also need to concentrate on hydrogen and natural gas run cars. Forget electric. That is not saving anything as the majority of electric power plants run on fossil fuels. Wind power for electricity is a no go. A wind farm in the upper midwest closed down due to it being too expencsive to produce electricity and distribute it. If Obama wants alternative power sources, the infrastucture needs to be updated.
How to Save on Gas as Prices at the Pump Climb {WalletPop}
Feb 26th 2011 11:05AM When gas went to $3.50 a gallon before. The President immediately allowed drilling offshore for oil. that lowered the price of oil, thus cheaper gas. Obama has done nothing to ease this crisis. He is in over his head on just about every issue that affects the citizens and the economy of our country. Obama needs to do things for the better of the country and it's citizens. He needs to stop all his traveling, including his wife and children. The tax payers are footing the bill for his travels and their vacations.
How the Post Office Can Make Money and Survive {WalletPop}
Jan 14th 2011 6:38PM I wouldn't trust the postal service with anything. My wife received a paycheck in the mail, one year after it was mailed. they can't seem to deliver mail on time. Why should they do better with other services. They even lose packages that have tracking numbers on them. When you question where the package is, you get an I don't know answer. that is not the service you pay for. If it is lost at the last place it was tracked too, then an investigation as to who stole the package needs to be initiated.
Wisconsin Seeks to Gain From Illinois' Big Tax Hike {WalletPop}
Jan 13th 2011 4:59PM You say union workers should make less than their non union counter parts. How wrong you are. Union contracts are negotiated. Everyone under the law is allowed to have a union. Many choose not to go union because they would have to pay union dues. Also, you are under the misconception that there is job security in the civil service sector. How wrong you are, as exampled by NYC and other cities and states that have laid off civil service workers. As for the salaries. I worked as bus mechanic and truck mechainc in civil service. My pay was a lot less than the private sector. Yes, I had benefits, but so did many in the private sector. So that is a moot argument. I chose where I worked and never really complained about the salary or benefits.
Cruise Scam Watch: The $99 cruise {Gadling}
Jan 11th 2011 5:33PM Cruise prices are determined by when it sails, the itinerary, type of cabin you want and the location of it. If you want to choose the location of your cabin. You pay a slightly higher price. The days of last minute deals are almost history now. I cruise often and book at least a year in advance. Most of the cruises I book are almost completely sold out months before departure. My next cruise only has 2 availble reservations. Those are for suites which are expensive.
Illustrious Favre Streak Ending Overdue {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Dec 14th 2010 10:50AM How can anyone say he had that long of a continuous playing streak? Did he not retire and then come out of retirement? To myself, a continuous playing streak means no breaks in playing.
Are Tea Partiers Gaming the Vote for Bristol Palin on 'Dancing With the Stars'? {AOL TV}
Nov 18th 2010 8:28AM DWTS is just like all the rest of the same type of shows. It's not about talent. It's about popularity. This is why I don't watch any of them.
