Aug 16th 2007 8:58AM A trip to Cambodia is amazing and should always be coupled with one to Viet Nam. Both places are so interesting and the people are extremely kind, which I didn't expect in Viet Nam after what we did when we were at war; but they are buddist and have a philosopy of love and acceptance and they don't hate anyone. Most Expensive Cruise Ships {Gadling}
Jul 31st 2007 11:58AM I have been on many of the worlds finest ships. they are worth every penny. Where else can you visit exotic destinations within a short period of time having all the comforts of a 5 star hotel without spending time with air, rail or land travel between cities or countries? The best thing is you never have to pack or unpack. Visiting Vietnam, China, Cambodia (you can fly for 2 days from the ship to see Angkor Wat) and Singapore would have taken longer than the 2 weeks we spent on the ship to see all the landmarks that we were able to tour. A cruis is only a sample of destinations that you may want to experience on land for a longer time, but it will give you an idea on where you want to spend more time to visit a destination indepth. By the time you fly to a destination, transfer to a hotel, check in a hotel, unpack, then go and tour, you have wasted a half a day.
