Aug 8th 2009 7:54PM I just wanted to make a comment on all the expensive trips Obama takes for town hall meetings now that he's president. Remember when he was campaigning and he refused any town hall meeting debates with McCain?
I guess his questions must be pre-screened and put on the teleprompter (and his answers, too).
Anyway, I was impressed with my congressman, Kevin McCarthy, having a tele-town hall meeting two nights ago. I almost didn't answer the phone because the caller ID didn't list who it was. But I took a chance and answered it and it was Congressman McCarthy's own voice and he's decided to use the technology at hand and saved a whole lot of travel expense to do a town hall meeting with the citizens of Bakersfied, CA from his office in Washington, DC. It was well organized and it was about healthcare reform and he had a doctor on, as well, to answer question.
It wasn't just Democrat or Republicans, either. He took questions from people that obviously, by the tone of their voice, just wanted to stir up trouble.
With the telecommunications, if someone had a comment or question on the healthcare bill, you would enter *3 on your phone and then he would ask for whatever family was up next. I actually got to mention several concerns of mine and tell him that alot of our health care expenses could be reduced by not paying for illegal aliens. That was the only thing I mentioned about illegals, all though, living in Bakersfield, CA we are surrounded with the decay of our city with their gangs, graffitti, littered highways, etc.
I was really impressed with this way of doing town hall meetings and was wondering why Obama has to take Air Force One and a whole team of Secret Service to scout out every place Obama decides to jet out to...including his little dates that he takes Michelle out to, with us footing the bill.
I just thought maybe others on this site may suggest to their congressmen about how smooth this way of doing town hall meetings worked and it probably was very cost effective. In addition, if someone had a serious comment or medical problem (like my family has had recently) that hadn't been brought up before, Congressman McCarthy would tell us to push number 5 on the phone and he would automatically update us with issues pertaining to our immediate concerns when they are brought up for discussion with his colleagues.

Aug 1st 2009 7:39AM Can you spell "Nepotism" Seems like he's either moving them into the White House where our tax dollars will support his relatives, or he gives them jobs. Do we even need a commission on White House Fellowships, and what does it do? Sounds like one of those commissions that need to be done away with to help lower our deficit. I'm also assuming she'll get a cushy salary and health care benefits that we, the people, will get screwed out of if Obama's plan goes through. I may not like the cost of our health insurance and have to cut on other things, but I like knowing I can drive two hours to Los Angeles and see a specialist at UCLA if the doctors here in Bakersfield don't have the answers (which is quite often). If we end up with Obama's health plan, we will be stuck with doctors who are doing surgeries that are considered obsolete at UCLA or any of the other wonderful medical schools. My sister-in-law had two failed back surgeries and when she finally went to a doctor in Los Angeles that worked on athletes, that doctor could tell by the procedures she had done in Bakersfield that those procedures hadn't been done in over ten years, and that they had so many newer and less-invasive ways to correct what the doctor in Bakersfield had messed up. I'm afraid with Obama's plan, we will be stuck with no choice but to use a doctor in Bakersfield. Just for the record, not all of the are bad. We've had several recently that saved several family members lives...but we GOT TO CHOOSE WHO DID THE SURGERIES AND DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN A DAY FOR SURGERY SINCE THEY WERE EMERGENCIES! D. Companies That Hire Part-Time Workers {AOL Jobs}
Jun 9th 2009 5:30PM I've heard about Tyson hiring illegal immigrants and I think until Tyson quits that practice, we should spread the word to boycott Tyson products. Maybe then they'll start hiring American workers. We've got to quit rolling out the red carpet for illegal aliens. It's insanity and the cause of just about every problem from healthcare to higher insurance rates...because they don't get auto insurance we have to pay more for uninsured motorist. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point.

If you click on the left tab called "about us" you'll find their allegiance to Africa. Their superiors are aligned with Louis Farrakhan and I think Obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Remember the attackers of 9/11 and how patient they were until it was their time to attack. Obama could also be the same way. These Muslims have patience and can wait years until it's their time to surface. I think Obama's time has come and he has a slick talk and is charismatic. The Bible says that in the end days their will be a very charismatic man who everyone thinks is "it" (like Obamamania). This man will be the anti-Christ. So people, we never know when the end is near, but things are happening that are mentioned in the Bible. Once the anti-Christ comes there will be a one world religion. You all know how fanatical Islam is spreading rapidly throughout the globe. So before you think Obama is your man, think about the possibility (even the smallest possibility) that Obama is a Muslim aligned with a terrorist cell and is working his way to the top of our government, where they will take our country over from the inside out. We already had one senator be sworn in with his hand on the Koran, so he's blatantly Muslim. Even Obama knows no one would vote for him if he was a known Muslim, so of course, the first thing you would do is start attending a Christian church and portray yourself as a good church going man. However, when you check out his church's website, it's not so squeaky clean. This church is aligned with Africa and they proclaim to be unashamedly black and pledge allegiance to Africa. The minister is also close friends with Louis Farrakhan and they've visited Muslim countries. So please check out the website. Again, it's www.tucc.org and read all their agenda's. Then please get this news spread across the internet. You won't hear it on our liberal news media.

The picture on the first intro page is an outline of Africa. Click skip and it will take you to their homepage, the click on "about us" and you'll see what they stand for. The leaders have been friends with Louis Farrakhan and other Muslim leaders. I think Obama is a snake in sheep's clothing. He could belong to a fanatic Islamist cell and, as they have been trained, to be patient until their time comes. If he is elected president, he'll appoint many more like him and our country will be just like Africa. If they pledge their allegiance to Africa, no wonder he doesn't pledge the allegiance to our flag. This church has about 8,000 members. We already have one senator who recently took his oath of office with his hand on the Koran. As liberal as our congress is, anyone who Obama appointed would probably be accepted, with no hesitation. Whereas, anytime Bush has tried to appoint someone to the Supreme Court or Attorney General, all the democrats pounce on them and make it very difficult for these people to be appointed. I don't like Hillary and think all the Muslim countries would hate us even more (if that's possible) with a woman as president. I don't like McCain either because he's soft on illegal immigration and my choice would have been Romney. But out of the three who have a chance, the safest bet is McCain. I would vote for Huckabee if I thought he had a chance, but all I would do is take votes away from McCain and then Billary or Obama (whoever is their nominee) would win. I urge all of you who haven't thought of this point of view, especially people that are black who are only voting for Obama because of race, if you are a good Southern Baptist or any other religion other than Muslim, I encourage you to think very carefully about voting for Obama. The Bible says that a very charismatic man will come along and their will be one world religion in the end days. Islam is spreading rapidly throughout the world and their intent is to change everyone to Muslims and if they don't the Koran says to kill infidels anywhere you see them (if you aren't a Muslim, then you are an "infidel"). They don't play the race game, they'll kill you if you're black, white, yellow, purple...it doesn't matter about skin color, it matters to Muslims that you believe in Islam. Since Obama's mama was an atheist, she married two muslims and he was raised that way until about 6 years old. You see many 5 year old Muslim boys who are trained to hate Americans and if a Muslim turns away from Islam, then they are even worse than one who never was a Muslim. So I find it hard to believe that Obama is really a Christian at heart. Remember, the people who attacked us on 9/11 had waited many years, shaved off their beards so they could fit in with our society without being noticed, were smart enough to learn to fly a commercial airliner and spoke English. Obama is probably very smart as he graduated from very respected universities, but you can't change a leopard's spots. Please encourage anyone who's thinking about Obama, to take a look at his church's website. He proclaims to be a very good Christian with the United Church of Christ. That all sounds so good on the outside, until you read that specific congregation's real allegiance and alliances with Africa. It made me want to throw up when I read it.
THE N WORD: Who Can and Can't Say It {Blackvoices Main}
Mar 27th 2007 4:20AM When I first heard of the N word, I thought it was the correct way of calling a person born in Niger, now I know they are called Nigerians. My son who is one of only 5 blond haired boys at his school gets called "nigga" by his friends who are all either black or Mexican. He doesn't use the word back, but he doesn't get mad when they call him that. Actually, they don't even call him "cracker" and he's light skinned.
The only thing that really makes me mad is the hypenated American. If you're white, you're not hyphenated. But if you're black you're African-American, if you're Mexican, you're Mexican-American, and so on. If I wanted to be hyphenated, then I should be Cherokee-Swiss-German-English-Scottish-American. That sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? If anything, unless someone here is "illegal" (you know what I'm talking about), then they are just plain Americans. Forget the hyphenation. We can all figure out from the looks of peoples' colors, facial features that they are either, of African, Hispanic, Persian, or Asian. The only thing one can't tell by their looks is the actual country they come from. White people are from so many different countries the only way you could tell where they are from is by asking them, or understanding the language they're speaking.
Why can't we just all be Americans. Everyone who came here willfully and freely chose to be an American promised to assimilate and become Americans and learn our language and our heritage (of course still keeping their own culture for home). However, the ancestors of Africans from many different African countries didn't get the chance to come here by their own choice and didn't get to live freely or get a chance to assimilate.
But you know what, these people who were forced to come here as slave labor, no matter how mad they were, still learned the American language and passed it down to their children, generation after generation. You sure can't say that for the millions of illegal Mexicans ready to overtake our country. They refuse to learn English, because our government caters to them and puts everything in Spanish from voter cards, to paperwork sent home from schools...it's ridiculous.
I know there are some big devides out there, but anyone of any nationality who is a legal "American" should stick together and not be taken over by a large group of people who choose to commit a crime by sneaking into our country, refuse to speak our language, live off our hard earned taxes and still want more.
I think the N word is disgusting and I have always wondered what blacks would rather be called "black" or "African-American"? I don't like the hyphenated American, because you were born an American and anyone can tell by the color of your skin that you are of some African. Even in Africa there are so many other countries, if you wanted to be a hyphenated Nigerian-Ethiopian-Somalian-American, that would be explaining your ancestry, but just be being American with black skin, everyone knows you are an American with proud African blood in your veins...and I'm sure many stories and cultures passed down to you from your ancestors.
I have to say that as horrible as it had to be on your ancestors of generations ago to come over to America on slave ships and be sold by their neighbors. Thank God for a white man named President Lincoln, who abolished slavery. Your ancestors, in a way, gave you a better way of life than what they had either in America as slaves or back in Africa. If the slaves had never happened in that sad part of our American history, we wouldn't very many black people in our country today. Many have made such wonderful lives for themselves and their families. I wonder what it would be like if many of you were born in Africa, depending on what country, you might not have the nice life and homes, cars, etc. that we all take for granted living in America. When I watch Discovery channel, I see how so many of the tribes still live and some of the painful rituals they go through. Although they don't know any different, if you were to go back to visit your roots, you'd probably be thankful that your ancestors paid the price of slavery to give you a better lives...even though they might not have known in at the time.
