Disney, Stay Away From Our Newborns {WalletPop}
Feb 22nd 2011 9:51AM Are you kidding me?!?!? I LOVED the freebies in the hospital. It isn't as if the sales rep is barging in your room and bombarding you with sales pitches. You get your packet of stuff and your free samples, they mail some coupons to you, and YOU decide if YOU want to make the purchases. I am dismayed that they are eliminating freebies and coupons from the hospital. That was very helpful, especially to moms on a budget (as most of us are). And if you think your child won't recognize the plethora of Disney characters by 18 months simply by ridding the hospital of promotional material, you are living in a bubble of naiveté. Dumb, dumb, dumb.....
Controversial food dyes in U.S. to be labeled in Europe, not here {WalletPop}
Jul 22nd 2010 4:31AM My question is this: Why do the companies need to be regulated? Why are they knowingly using this crap armed with the information they have on the risks of the use of artificial dyes? I am disappointed that a company cannot come to the conclusion that using dyes are harmful and cease the useage without government intervention. I know that touching a hot stove will burn my hand. Because of this, I do not touch it. I do not need the government to place a warning label on it and send me information on this. I do not need the government to mandate I take a class on this and then relay the information to the rest of my family. I educate them because I know it is the right thing to do. We need less government regulation and more common sense in this world. I guess common sense just isn't that common though, is it?
Parents of Five Year Old Sue Insurance Company That Won't Cover Cancer Treatment {Black Voices Insurance}
Feb 10th 2010 3:52PM "In fact, his parents have been made bankrupt by Kyler's medical bills -- something that would never happen in countries like the United Kingdom or France."??????
I guess not, because he would not get the treatment there, either. They would just have funeral expenses, and those most likely won't bankrupt you.
Eastern Illinois Assistant Killed in Crash {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}
Nov 30th 2009 11:12AM Obviously it is safer to hit the deer when insurance companies have no deductible for hitting an animal and you have to pay one for swerving and hitting a tree/mailbox/etc. I hit a deer at 75 mph - my four children and I were unscathed. I saw it, and I stayed on the road knowing I would hit it. I tried to safely slow down, but I was on a highway, and when it came down to the deer or me, it was not going to be me.
Wedding Dance Duo Sets Up Site to Aid Domestic Violence Victims {PopEater}
Aug 5th 2009 12:22PM Not appropriate in a church. Perfect for the reception, but not in a place worthy of reverence and respect. The prep time and routine will most likely outlast the marriage. Sad.
Viral Wedding Video -- Cool or Corny? {Lemondrop}
Jul 28th 2009 7:59AM While I agree that it is "their day" to do what they want, this is totally inappropriate in a church. This should be saved for the reception. They needed to show some respect and reverence. The song and dance were both inappropriate, period. And after all of the hoopla over their creativity and wedding, I hope they didn't put more into the routine and show than into the marriage itself. Time will tell.
David Feherty Goes Way Over the Line {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
May 11th 2009 8:34AM Wow - if Obama said this about Bush and Cheney in one of his stand up routines, everyone would think it was so funny. I love how the libs can dish it out but cannot take it. How sad to live in the most destructive presidential era of this country. The spiral continues downward.....
Steven Curtis Chapman Honors Daughter at the Doves {The Boot}
Apr 24th 2009 10:04PM You know why they don't adopt American babies? Because we murder the unwanted in our country. Our great president signed the bill on day one to allow partial birth abortions. Isn't that lovely?

Florida Gators' Strong Admits His White Wife Impeded His Career {Blackvoices Main}
Jan 9th 2009 6:31PM Why is the word "black" capitalized throughout this article while "white" is not? The media continues to fuel the fire. And why would he blame his wife to the media like that? Quit your whining, Coach. You chose her.
