Heidi Klum Will Take Seal's Name {Popeater}
Oct 6th 2009 3:45PM It is legal to assume your new husband's name at the time of your marriage (or even shortly thereafter), but Heidi has been married for some years now. So she needs to go to court to change her surname.
In Washington state it's a rather simple thing that you can do without legal representation. You purchase and fill out forms, file them with the court clerk and then wait for an appointment with a Court Commissioner. He/she will ask you a few questions, you answer and then the commissioner usually signs the court order. You file it with the clerk and "you're done."
US imposes big tarriffs on Chinese tires, Beijing {Daily Finance}
Sep 13th 2009 6:39PM There is no waaay I'd feel safe if I had Chinese-made tires on my car!
If it is Chinese artwork or something special that only they can provide, that sounds like a worthwhile purchase to me. But if it's something that used to be made in this country, I'm not buying.
We don't need tariffs or any other government rules and regulations. All we need to do is QUIETLY stop buying Chinese-made products. Then we'll feel safe, jobs might not continue to go overseas and our government will not be blamed for any of it.
'Sex And The City' Sequel: Spoiler Alerts {Popeater}
Sep 12th 2009 3:51PM I caught all of SATC on HBO and have collected all of the DVDs. I love these crazy gals and the way that they relate to one another.
I'm hearing impaired, so viewing in a movie theater is difficult for me ... the DVDs have closed-captioning AND the ability to back-up-and-replay. So I'm waiting for their next DVD, oh yeah!
5 Questions With: Conan O'Brien {Inside TV Blog}
Feb 19th 2009 2:30AM I loved this routine that Conan did with his old sidekick several years ago.
5 Questions With: Conan O'Brien {Inside TV Blog}

Time for a Coffee Break {AOL Hot Searches}
Aug 18th 2008 1:00PM I've had to cut down on my caffeine consumption, but I still love Millstone's decaf French Roast (brew at home) coffee
Fashion Rules For the 40+ Set {Licensed to Shop}
Aug 15th 2008 1:35AM I think wearing a company name on anybody's clothing sucks. Labels are boring and kidstuff.
I'm 72 and I love my backpack...don't know what I'd do without it because it holds all my stuff, especially when biking, hiking. shopping or traveling (I've got a Rick Steves' daypack that looks like it's made of black silk).
As far as I'm concerned, I've never looked good in a babydoll, lol...and crocs hurt my feet. I'm a redhead and my skin just can't take the sun...so bikinis have always been OUT for me.
French trains go for British baguettes {Gadling}
May 9th 2008 7:32PM I am wondering if perhaps the UK breads are only being sold on the train that runs from Paris to London (thru the CHUNNEL). This train is run by the British, so if/when French trains go on strike, this train still runs on its regular schedule.
Netflix issuing 10% credit to make amends for downtime? {Engadget HD}
Mar 28th 2008 7:26PM I have the 4-at-a-time plan...with 2 due to ship on that Monday. My netflix email stated that I was getting a 5% credit. Hmmm.
Girl Scout Cookies: Old favorite, learning opportunity, or clever scam? {WalletPop}
Jan 7th 2008 7:02PM The cookies are NOT good...either to eat or for your health! Usually the girls (and a female parent) haunt the area near the main door of grocery stores here, so they "get you coming and going." I resent that ... when I'm out to buy groceries, I don't need to be harrassed by people with other agendas!
I honestly think that the girls should go door-to-door and collect money.
When I was growing up, the girls came door-to-door with the cookies...and the cookies were good.
Thanks
