Sep 17th 2012 3:24PM Don't ask the staff. They are constantly visited by reps from restaurants who offer them gifts, bonuses etc. A friend of mine worked at a big hotel and she said she was always being offered freebies to direct customers to certain restaurants.
Try looking on the Internet and check the ratings if you can. Maybe in advance of your trip, if you have the time.

Sep 17th 2012 3:18PM You are so right about not taking advice from hotel staff. At one fancy hotel in Palm Beach they suggested a restaurant not at the hotel. I fell for it. The meal was terrible. They owned the restaurant.

Oct 15th 2009 11:24AM Well I took the opposite track and trusted a famous doctor. I'm 70 and everyone guesses my age at 58. It was expensive and the recovery was an annoyance but I'm happy when I look in the mirror. Plus I probably extended my working life because I work in an industry that's youth oriented.

Jun 14th 2009 12:11PM Toronto and Vancouver are OK but I would hardly want to live in either place. Vancouver is small and the weather for much of the year is terrible unless you love rain. Toronto has its points but it's pretty boring compared to "world class cities" and it has a very annoying "Mid-Western" spirit with a self-congratulatory attitude that makes one want to throw up.
All these things that are rated by weighing different factors usually end up with dubious results. My Toronto friends are not so thrilled when they are forced to wait forever for health care and then they may have to go to substandard doctors because the better ones are overloaded and can't take new patients.

Dec 24th 2008 11:42PM The comments posted should be taken with a MAJOR grain of salt. Many are simply ads for herbal cures that cannot be proven. The only proven remedies for baldness are the two drugs listed and they only work on some people and sometimes to a very limited degree.
