Carmie Elmore, Harlem Gas Station Owner, Fights NYC's Plan to Buy It for Development {AOL Real Estate}
Aug 23rd 2012 7:21AM Clearly a trend with a precedent. It is naked agression and must not stand! Just exactly who or what is this New York City Economic Development Corporation? Unelected tyrants and special interests? Or actal elected officials? New Yorkers must be watchful and wise to this thing, whatever it is.

Jail Time for Phoenix Man Who Hosted Bible Study at His Home {AOL Real Estate}
Jul 8th 2012 7:41AM Now that we see all these comments, it still begs the question:
Why are we all here?
For what purpose?
While I am not referring to a critically-thinking atheist, the following thoughts are about these militant radical atheists. They are much like militant radical Christians or Muslims or whatever who seemingly go ballistic every time religous issues are brought up. One is often left wondering, when reading blogs like these, as to why these militant and self described atheists go ape-shit and try so hard to "convert" the religious by resorting to name calling and ridicule, especially toward Christians and "debunking Christianity". Why not ridicule Muslims, Buddhists, and Hindus, and "debunk" them? Ppeople of this world has believed in a "spirit force" of some type or another, throughout human history. Few can accept the existence of vehicles, airplanes, edifices, etc., without builders. But, at the same time, some can accept the myriad of living things which are millions of times more complex than these, without a Designer. For the thousands of years of human history, few people can accept the idea the universe, and their very being, flew together from cosmic dust, and all of a sudden we have the earth, moon, stars, planets, and our emotions, love, fear, and a sense of self-worth thinking about why we are here. I am trying to find the logic and thus far have not.

Jul 8th 2012 7:38AM If the city had been responding only to complaints, they may not be able to prove even-handed enforcement. Random inspections more likely would.

Jul 8th 2012 7:33AM Wouldn't anyone in this forum disagree with the jail sentence? The guy did not rob a store or assault a cop. However the issue remains on what he told the authorities what he was doing with the garage. The Ten Commandments say it is a sin to lie. Christ said render to Caesar what is Ceasar's and to God what is God's. He should not have done what he did with the permit application, and now makes Christianity look two-faced to certain non-critically thinking people. Many of them belong to Fox News, which I have a hard time accepting as real journalists.

Playing Dress-Up With Mrs. Butterworth's {Slashfood}
Apr 1st 2011 3:42PM No doubt my "hat" idea would drive up the cost also. But it's doubtful many more would would be sold. After all, like we all figured, maple is best.

Apr 1st 2011 12:39PM She needs a hat. The standard bottle cap don't cut it. Any hat will do...probably one of those Early American 18th century Revolutionary War period hats would work. Not a bonnet, but like one of those Dolly Madison type things with the truffles around the circumference. That one.
Travel agents: The dinosaur you just might need {Gadling}
Mar 16th 2011 4:13PM All I know is, when I go to Asia, nothing beats calling up Springdale and letting them do the work, for a nominal $30 fee. When you e-book or look up in FareCompare, Travelocity, or Expedia, you get there really scary looking fares on scarier airlines. My Travel Agent knows much more than I do and scary becomes manageable. Besides I am busy, but she is knowlegeable. Put that together and you have a willing-to-pay-the-fee client.
