Windows 7 Beta automatic shutdowns begin today, RC users safe until March 1st {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2009 2:11PM It should be "semi-hourly." Bi-hourly would mean the systems shut down twice an hour.
iPod Classic and Nano get updated to 1.0.2 {TUAW.com}
Oct 8th 2007 5:03PM All this talk of "bricking" iPods is somewhat annoying. You can't brick iPod Nanos or iPod classics. Any changes you do can always be reversed with a software restore. An error message reminding you to connect to iTunes, or iTunes complaining about a damaged iPod, these are not examples of bricking, since iTunes can restore the software to make everything right again.
iPhones, on the other hand, have additional chips on the device that could be reprogrammed. Mistakes in reprogramming the baseband or other chips could leave the iPod in a state that an iTunes restore could *not* fix. If the device is either somewhat or totally unusable in this state, that is considered "bricking," since your iPhone is worth no more to you than a brick, and is in a state that Apple will most likely not cover under warranty.
iPods may get into a state that cannot be repaired using iTunes restore, but this is called "broken" instead of "bricked." The difference is Apple will continue to cover "broken" iPods as long as they show no physical damage, while "bricked" iPhones will get no such love.
iPhone now software unlocked in 32 countries and 69 carriers {Engadget}
Sep 13th 2007 12:52PM All activation is done using iTunes in the comfort of your own home. You can buy the phone online, or walk into any Apple store and buy it in person (which is what I did). I am not sure about AT&T stores; the activation should be the same, but I've read one person who said they hassled him about it. Dunno if that's true, or what the hassle was. (Maybe the AT&T people were more pushy about cases and other add-ons, which seems likely.)
Does Apple's iPod touch have Bluetooth? {Engadget}
Sep 6th 2007 4:08PM If the Bluetooth is anything like the iPhone implementation, it wont allow file transfer or anything of that sort. The Bluetooth on the iPhone allows Bluetooth headphones, speakers, and possibly song control (although I'm not sure about that). As far as Internet sharing, file exchange, etc., my RAZR has more Bluetooth features in that regard compared to my iPhone.
Wild West World: A Brand New Theme Park {Gadling}
Jul 20th 2007 2:29PM Rather than write an article riddled with "I think," spending a minute on research would educate you about the issue.

Given you are a Columbus resident, your lack of knowledge about a local travel/entertainment issue makes a reader question your expertise and authority about the things you write about.
ComFest: Where Peace, Love and Partial Nudity Survive {Gadling}
Jul 20th 2007 1:51PM Your multiple mentions of topless ladies is extremely misleading. Unless you're actively & aggressively seeking them out, you'd be hard pressed to notice a woman without a shirt at Comfest. Those who choose to go topless are almost always painted, which causes them to become lost in the sea of people. I really couldn't say how few or many girls I've seen at Comfest without shirts. That's because it's really not that big of a deal. With so much going on around you, it becomes blurred into the wealth of other art and people you see over the weekend.
Consequently, going topless isn't something that's limited to the boundaries of the festival. Women are allowed to go topless within the city of Columbus. Many women just feel more comfortable covering up once they leave the event.
Leopard Boot Camp "fast switching" disappears {TUAW.com}
Jun 18th 2007 1:07PM Seems like you could still hibernate in Windows and choose to reboot into OS X, then use the similar feature in OS X and reboot back into Windows. It sounds like they have removed the slicker "reboot into Windows/reboot into OS X" menu items, but you are free to hibernate and reboot however you want.
Removing the feature avoids giving ammunition to those who would munge their computers, while having no affect on those who choose to hibernate and switch OS's at their own discretion.
