Halloween Haunts {Second Life Insider}
Oct 29th 2007 7:51PM I lived in SF for 18 years and, I agree, every day was Halloween. People with purple hair and a ring for just about every part of their body.
And, down in the Tenderloin neighborhood everybody's got a bottle or can with a paper bag over it.
In the Castro, wealthy gay people shop at Pottery Barn.
In the Height, you can be a hippie all over again (that is if you're old enough to have done it the first time).
In the marina, you can go shopping for a date at the Safeway.
And in Pacific Heights, every Victorian is haunted (or should be, at least on Halloween!).

Googie architecture: When Jetsons ruled the Earth {BloggingStocks}
Apr 5th 2007 2:07PM Great article; Googie and programmatic architecture is my passion, and the United States isn't the only country that has it. France does, and the take on it is a bit different.

If you're gonna buy a digital camera for someone, help them to take great photos too, with Digital Art Photography for Dummies. Think of the camera as the main course and Digital Art Photography for Dummies as the dessert. Get yourself "aweing" the pictures that you take.

Attach lens cap; fade to black {The Digital Photography Weblog}
Aug 19th 2006 1:23AM I liked your blog, it's too bad. Can I offer your viewers another digtal photography blog--it's different and you'll be sorely missed because your photographs came with the following:
Camera: Nikon D70
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1600)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 200 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
These really help students of photography learn because you can look at the numbers while you're looking at the frames' details--blur, clarity, focus and depth of field.
Best Wishes!
