First off, gypsies in Skopje generally know a lot more languages than your average US foreign service officer; second, Macedonian food is delicious and there are a lot better places to shop than your Greek-owned supermarket--which you drive to in your big American car.

Jun 17th 2007 11:02PM Armstrong underwent exhaustive testing during the latter part of his run of Tour de France wins--far more than any baseball players association would ever allow. If he was juiced he should get a Nobel in medicine. The controversy started because the French couldn't believe anybody who had been that sick could have won legitimately when he won his first (and cycling is a traditionally dirty sport). All of the accusations that have any credence at all deal with Armstrong's 1999 first tour win, and usage of EPO--and they're far from proven. So one of the big differences from Bond is that Armstrong almost certainly did almost all of his greatest feats without drugs, and Bonds almost certainly did his with drugs.
